Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...

I'm posting early today! I had some time to take pictures this morning, and have a little extra time now to post before my next class. I wanted to wear something comfortable enough to play with preschoolers-And it had to be cool so I didn't smell like sweat all day...sigh.
But this is a super comfy outfit and I feel so crisp in my white shirt!

I'm really getting into photography lately. I WANT to take good pictures to put here on my blog, and if they aren't great it really annoys me. Like today's photos-I didn't have time to find a good location so I used my car. It got the job done, but these aren't ground breaking photos. I love it when I have the extra time to experiment with angles and editing and I love it when I'm pleased with the results. I wish I had time to do that everyday- And I wish the weather was great enough every day to do so!

Today's verse-
James 1:26-27 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Time Can Turn Our Dreams to Reality

Well, today was another lovely day. Although our art teacher told us that the last time we had weather like this in '92, we got 16 inches of snow in April...so we'll see how long this gloriousness lasts! Meh, that's what I get for living in SD I suppose.
I'm super tired today. I had a dream last night that I was in the movie Twilight. I don't know why. I don't even like it that much, and I haven't even seen the second movie yet. I was acting in it though!Strange... But it meant that I didn't get a ton of sleep. poo. It made for an interesting 8 oclock class though with a bunch of tired teachers who are supposed to act like 2nd graders for a presentation-we get kind of crazy! Then I made a paper mache egg in art, and worked on a lesson plan for music class-whew!
I am excited for tonight because the fiance and I are actually going on a date!! I am pretty stoked-we're going to see the new movie "How to Train your Dragon" The commercials just look hilarious, so I bet it will be good! Other than that I just need to get some homework done before we go-yikes!
Another thing to pray for-Sean has an interview today-we need at least one of us to have a job soon so we're not living in a box...so...please be praying for that!

Today's verse:
1 Peter 1:13-16
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy.

Sunny Days

Today was absolutely stinking GORGEOUS. It was the perfect temperature with just a slight breeze and it was just awesome.
So...The pictures today are really crappy...but that's only because I was in a hurry and didn't have anyone to take them..I had to make it to test at the Catholic school. I actually ended up wearing the same black heels as yesterday, but wore flats most of the day.
I ADORE this dress. I found it randomly in our downstairs closet and my mom thinks it came from the thrift store and we played dress up in it-it is the most comfortable dress ever-with pockets!!!!! LOVE. Also I had to embellish this white cardigan a little bit, so I found these vintage buttons in our door at home and got to sowing :)
I am also in the process of registering for classes...it was a pain to try and get everything worked out so that I can have my scholarship and still graduate when I want to..BLEH! Oh well, God will take care of me :)

Today's Verse
James 1:19-21
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

I ventured out without a coat today! How lovely! I'm looking forward to the warmer weather forcast for this week
Now I should get to my reading assignments....pooo.

It gave me Chills

Today was COLD! I almost froze my fingers off taking pictures today! But I wore the most comfortable outfit ever! I love leggings-I'm just usually not super comfortable wearing them in public because I feel scandalous! But I was just hanging out with the fiance tonight for supper-so I was super comfy :)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

You Make Me Sing

Today has been pretty lovely. I didn't have to wake up to an alarm, I didn't have class, and I've already gotten some homework done!

The fiance has been busy all day, so I had some time to take a long shower, relax a little, eat some breakfast (malt-o-meal!!) and go flea marketing!! hurrah!!
Our flea market here in town is more of a thrift/antique shop-but they call it a flea market. There are so many gorgeous vintage hats there, I drool over them every time I walk in the shop. If they were maybe under 10 dollars I would own one right now, but they're just too spendy for me to splurge on right now when we're trying just to make ends meet for the wedding!

The flea market wanted to torture me today, I'm telling you. All of their clothes were half off and there were so many I wanted...alas I had to settle for none...siiiigh.

Also, I have been coveting a fur collar lately. I think it can make any outfit just have that sultry vintage look that I adore! I found one on the upstairs level of the store, it was fabulous, but pretty extravagant, with dark fur, and it was quite large. But it was 28 dollars, which was not happening. So I trekked downstairs, which is where I usually find most of my treasures. Lo and behold hidden in with the old socks and tights by the children's clothes, there was a little bit of fur peeking out from under the pile. I rummaged and found this GORGEOUS real mink fur collar-the tag said it is fifty years old! I turned to see the price and it was FIVE DOLLARS!!! MEHH!!! So I totally bought it...It was naughty-but I wanted it so bad-and after the 28 dollar sticker price on the other one, I couldn't pass it up! I drooled over a leather jacket and old man sweater for a while too, but couldn't justify buying anything else-except this sweet pair of long beautiful socks that I can pair with my dresses-for 30 Cents!!
So I was pretty happy after that and came home to play dress up :):) mmmmm :):)
I adore being a lady :D
