A Walk in the Woods

The leaves are becoming so beautiful around the city. Sean and I decided to go for a walk in our local park to enjoy the gorgeous weather and lovely leaves! We ventured into my favorite photo spot- a little forest in the middle of the city. The leaves within the forest haven't quite changed color yet, but it was still lovely.

I found this hat at my favorite thrift store about a week ago! I plan on wearing it endlessly this fall with all sorts of ensembles. It can be worn it so many different ways and it is in beautiful condition. Not to mention it is the most perfect color!

I felt a little Polish in this ensemble. It may look a bit like liederhosen, but I loved trekking around the forest in it! I thought to ring in my fall-wear I would wear one of my favorite little blouses with a leaf print. I'm really into tying my blouses right now-it works so well with high waisted items!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I cannot wait for the weather to continue to show signs of fall-and hopefully I will have lots of pretty pictures of the red and yellow trees to show for it!

Philippians 1:9-10
I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.

This Blazer is on Repeat

Here is another set of old photos, my I'm really behind! This looks like a very fall outfit, but in reality it has been in the 80's all this week and will continue to be so for a while here, fall has certainly not arrived yet in my neck of the woods! Hopefully soon though, as it is by far my favorite season. I live for that crispness in the air!
I also adore scarves, layers, and all of the wonderful textures one can wear when it is cooler outside-there are so many more options!

Also, I had a reader wondering if I would do a hair tutorial...would anyone else be interested in that sort of thing? I'd have to figure out how to do the same thing twice in a row with my hair and figure out how to use my video camera and such-but I think I might give it a shot! It sounds like something fun that I would not have thought about doing before....so stay tuned! I may have a tutorial coming this week sometime :)

Hope your weekend is going splendidly!
God Bless!

All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.

Pink Lady

I felt very pink lady in this ensemble! I wore this actually weeks ago, but didn't get pictures. So I changed back into it and drug Sean out to take pics of me in it! I really loved wearing it. I went with some friends to the fair in this! I always wear cotton candy pink when I'm going anyplace where the pink fluffy stuff can be found. I figure if I'm not going to pay the five dollars to eat it I might as well wear it!

Have a lovely Thursday friends!
God Bless,

Work/Play

I started the day with heels and had to change when I went to work. I thought it was worth it to post the two different  looks.

For work I sported a smaller bag with just my work essentials in it and some comfy shoes so I could run around with the kiddos. And of course a ponytail!

For shopping with my sister and nephews earlier in the day I wore a hat and my favorite new shoes. I thrifted these BCBGirls heels the other day for under 6 dollars. I nearly drooled on them on my way out of the thrift store-they are perfect!
They were comfy for traipsing around the mall and such shopping for a new Lightning McQueen toy. :)

I got a nice compliment from our school janitor today! He told me that my skirt looked like the kind that girls used to wear when he was young and that it looked very nice :) haha! I love bringing back nostalgia to others and it makes me confident that I am truly embracing vintage style, at least to a small degree.

Have a lovely evening!
