Velcro is not my friend dear readers. I wore this ensemble to work and when I had to put on my teacher vest to take the kiddos out to recess I pretty much shredded my beloved scarf when it became affixed to the evil velcro. I think I can wear it without too much notice of the snags, but I was very sad when I had to create a few holes to get it untangled! I got this scarf as a gift from my sister and I'm quite attached to it, you see.
I had a fun morning though! A couple of my friends and I went to the mall for a bit of shopping. Our mall got a Wet Seal, and while I refrained (barely) from purchasing anything I must admit I loved a lot of what that store has to offer! They have a lot of uniquely made basics and some darling dresses and tops as well. I may have to visit the mall more often. We also went to Victoria's secret with my friend who is a soon to be bride and had some fun picking out scents and other fun items for her to wear. There were lots of red faces and giggles as my friends and I are still pretty much 12 years old! ;) haha.
The weather finally has that chill to it that I just love and I'm immediately pulling out my favorite chunky blazers, scarves, and boots! While I generally love prancing around in vintage hats and dresses, I tend to gravitate more towards comfy basics while shopping and running errands. This outfit felt like pajamas. Say hello to my fall/winter uniform!
Have a lovely Tuesday evening friends!
One of my favorite verses:
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
