Filtered

I really was planning to write a more in depth post, but I just found out that my sister(s?), brother in law, and NEPHEWS!!!! are coming to town tomorrow. Only problem is...the apartment is a complete mess! Let the cleaning frenzy begin....
It was a very long and tiring week, but with the loose ends of my coursework having been tied last night, I feel light and free as a bird-and a lot less stressed out! Praise the Lord!

I'm so looking forward to this glorious weekend ahead-
God Bless all!

Psalm 42:8
But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.

The free google software I've been using on my pictures updated with some new features! I spent tonight playing around with some of the filters...LOVE editing pictures....although I'm no professional photographer.
Thanks to the hubby for taking the photos tonight!
Now that I'm going to be having a little more free time I'm excited to finally figure out the awesome photo editing software my father in law gifted to me this Christmas!

Eyes on the Prize

What a crazy productive (even through I've been very ill) few days it has been. I am nearly done with my last class of my college career and only have a few more weeks of teaching before I am let loose into the great unknown called the real world. I don't even care what's out there at this point. Right now my eyes are focused on graduating, graduation, and ....um.....gradgumacation? That works. I am so excited. Right at this moment I don't even care where I have to work, as long as I can come home and NOT have to do even more work (aka homework) that I don't get paid for? Ya, I'm ok with that. I think that's been the worst thing about being part of this residency program. I'm at school for eleven hours (not getting paid for that), and then I have to come home and do about four more hours of homework, maybe try and get a little housework in (the hubby's been doing most of that) and if I'm lucky I get to talk to Sean for about 10 minutes during the night. I would love to just go to work during the day and come home and night free as a bluebird.

You know, until I have kids or something crazy like that.

Anyway.

God is still totally blessing me even through my sick/tired/complaining days. I've been able to take walks on the weekends with people I love, try out a few fun recipes I've been eyeing on blogs and such, and experience even more fully what an unselfish husband I've been given to have by side. God is Good :D

Psalm 62:7

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

Meet my stick. I found it on the ground. And made it my friend.

I've been wearing this outfit, or some variation of it pretty much everywhere I go. Once I got this hat and this chambray shirt I've just been able to throw it on and feel so much like me. It's the easiest and most comfortable I've felt while still maintaining some semblance of style. I just like to change up some accessories-like jewelry, bags, and shoes. I'm guessing you'll be seeing a lot more of this combination as the spring and summer (and probably fall) comes around. Sorry about that :)

God Bless~

Just Another Day

This is what I was planning to wear to church this morning. This is horrible, but at the last minute Sean and I both decided that we just felt absolutely terrible and we stayed home. I hate doing that, but seriously we probably would have keeled over in church had we gone. Sean slept for another four hours and I did homework for four hours. I ended up getting almost all of my projects finished though! Only a few more to go and I will be done with my coursework!!!!! I really cannot add enough exclamation points on to that sentence. It is definitely time to be through with college. On to bigger and better life adventures!

I'm telling you, this being a woman thing is hard. I seem to be having the worst go of things this past year but haven't had time to go to the doctor. I had a terribly painful day today and am taking a sick day tomorrow because I have no idea how I would function at school feeling this way. The neighbors probably thought someone was dying earlier this afternoon! Luckily Sean is here to take care of me, buy me dove ice cream bars, and take care of countless loads of dishes. What would I do without that man?

I hope you all had a lovely Sunday :)
God Bless,

Polka Spots, Chambray, and Flowers

What a great Saturday! I woke up early and got a bunch of projects finished (still more to go though). It felt good to get a little bit of work done before I began the day. Sean and I made a little lunch and got sucked into some old Claudette Colbert movies on tv. We then went to take a lovely walk around Sertoma Park. It was actually quite warm out-I'm wearing shorts in March and I was too hot! We went grocery shopping, made some supper, did some dishes-what a productive day. Usually my Saturdays are not this productive-so I feel pretty good :)

Hope you had a lovely day and got to enjoy some sun!
God Bless,

End of the long week...

What a long, long week. It seems the closer I get to graduation the slower the clock seems to tick while I'm at school and the faster it seems to fly when I get any downtime. No complaints about the weather though. It was glorious today.

We had an early dismissal today, but all that meant was that I got a few more hours in my after school program job. It was fun though! We played outside in the gorgeous weather, made fudge with the kiddos, performed experiments with the ever so popular coke and mentos, and antacid film container rockets. One can never go wrong with things that fly into the air!

I did not wear this outfit to school, but I never dress very blogworthy for teaching, and I wanted a post for this week! So I made Sean take pics after work in the fading light :)
Now I'm off to do something fun. I don't know what. Maybe it's making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or playing dress up...or maybe cleaning the house :P not sure....

Hope you all had a great week!
God Bless,
KJA
