Red Dress and Giveaway Winner!

Allo, allo!  This winter sure has taken a toll on the 'ol blog, but hopefully once the weather settles down and daylight savings time takes effect (so soon already!) there will be more time to force Sean to take photos :) Here are some oldies taken several weeks ago when we were in Sean's hometown. We went thrifting (duh...my favorite) and ended up finding out that the thrift store had just acquired a ton of 'costume' pieces. There was a backroom with wall to wall boxes and racks of vintage that needed to be sifted through. I think it was something out of my dreams. Sean ended up going home and coming back to get me because I didn't want to leave until I had looked through everything...it was an astounding amount of stuff! Aaaand I loved every second of it.

So, it was my birthday today and because I love giving gifts I have the results of the Jord Watch giveaway! You can look at who won here on the rafflecopter, it was Laura W.! I will be emailing you with details on how to redeem your wonderful watch. Thanks all who signed up and maybe there will be another in the future :) !

My birthday was good, coworkers got me a kitty card and one made me a banner which was hanging over my cubicle when I arrived to work, which was so sweet. I ALSO got a kitty card in the mail from my parents, so, you know, I definitely won this birthday. Can't beat two kitty cards.
I'm also planning to go ice skating this weekend with some friends so I'm really looking forward to that!

See you later gators!

Outfit: Grandpa's Red Wool Coat

Heyo! We had a pretty great weekend around here! On Saturday Sean took me thrifting all day and we came home with stacks of records and yearbooks! We didn't want to carry the huge camera around with us, so you get phone photos :)
There are still so many places in town we haven't been to yet and we keep learning of more from friends. I am glad so many places like this can make a go of it in our community!

I found this Elvis record. I told Sean at the beginning of the day that my goal was to find an Elvis record, and he pulled this one out at the second place we stopped. I started crying. This record in particular is one that I never expected to find. It is a gospel record of his and when I was growing up we had this record on cassette tape and would listen to it over and over on long car trips. My mama would sing along and it just holds so many special memories for me. Plus, it's one of the best albums of his in my opinion. I listened to it twice in a row as soon as I got home.

After shopping we went ice skating! Sean has skated before, but not for about ten years, and this was my first time ice skating! The first half hour or so was completely and utterly terrifying, but once I got the motion down I was doing pretty well. I didn't even fall once! I did almost run into someone going super slowly in front of me though. That's next on the list-learn how to STOP! It was a good thing I had went rollerblading a few times this summer because I think that really helped me with the motions. I really want to buy skates now so that I can go more often!

Aaaaand, kitty pictures for good measure.

Happy Monday everyone! Don't forget to enter the giveaway I am having for your chance to win a gift from Jord Wood Watches!

Giveaway: Jord Wood Watch

Hello there lovely ones! Today is such a fun post because I get to share a gift with you! I have had the pleasure of working with the Jord Watch Company recently. They specialize in gorgeous wood watches that are both beautifully classic and modern at the same time. Here was my last post featuring them! They have offered to host a giveaway on my blog, and so one of you will get the chance to own a gorgeous watch of your own.
These watches are for both men and women in a range of different styles. Check them out on their website here! The giveaway is for a gift certificate worth $129 plus free shipping. That is the price of the watch that I own from Jord, the Ely Cherry-which I love, or you could put it towards any of the other watches on their site as well.  The giveaway will run from today, February 11 to my birthday February 25th. I thought it would be great to give someone a gift on my birthday :) That's two weeks that you have to sign up!

Good luck and don't forget to enter in the rafflecopter below so you can have a stunning watch of your very own!

Outfit: Red, Orange, and Polka Dots

Goodness gracious, it's Monday again! Did you all have a fabulous weekend? Ours was filled with housework, baking, friends, and watching terrible 90's kids movies (3 Ninjas Knuckle Up anyone?). As always weekends are too busy and fly by so quickly you're not even sure what happened to them.
I did fun four miles though, and then felt like I got hit by a truck the whole weekend. I really try to push myself and then end up feeling like an 80 year old woman with aches and pains who can barely walk up the stairs. Puh.

How was YOUR weekend?

God Bless,
KJA
