Perfect Saturday

My sister came to visit me today (she needed to do a little shopping for her World Race at the Outdoor Store), and we just had the most splendid day EVER. It began with sleeping in (of course) and then making our way to the Outdoor Store to find a great backback that my sister can traipse around in for 11 months/11 countries. Not an easy task! We ended up trying on backbacks for around two hours-but I think she found one that will work for her trip :)

After we made it home she and I made some home-made chili! We used butter beans (soooo good...) and gluten free chili mix. It was spicy and delicious!
After our stomachs settled a bit we poked around in the little Russian grocery market near where I live-such a small store but filled with all sorts of fun treats! After buying a few nutty European chocolates we went to take a walk around the walking trail/park in town. With such gorgeous weather it was a busy place to be on a Saturday! We jogged around the trail together talking and getting quite a good workout-what a way to spend the afternoon-in the glorious sun with my beautiful sister, getting some great exercise-just lovely!

Even more awesomeness ensued-when we returned from our run we came home and made homemade fruit smoothies for a treat. We then made this amazing recipe! I'm telling you-three ingredient chocolate bars? Genius! And completely delicious! Mine didn't turn out looking very pretty-but they sure were tasty. Very rich though-I could only eat about one bar before feeling my sweet tooth satiated. And I didn't even have to feel guilty about it because it was only cocoa, agave nectar, and coconut oil! Now that's my kind of chocolate. (Pictures below :) )

We then spent the rest of our evening just hanging out and eating our yummy chocolate creation :) The perfect weather, perfect company, and perfect food made for a simply amazing day and I'm so glad I could spend it with my wonderful and beautiful sister :) It always makes us miss our eldest sister though! We can never seem to get all three of us together for a very long period of time.

How did you spend YOUR Saturday lovelies?
God Bless!

Here are our rich chocolate bars:

I enlisted my sister to take my outfit photos-she captured some funny faces that I just had to share!

I took the strap off of one of my Coach bags and clipped it to this bag given to me by my sister (which had shorter straps). I love not having to hold onto my purse-just being able to sling it over my body is so much easier!

Wearing:

Those treats look amazing! And I love that hat and your entire casual look. I wish I looked that good in pants.
