Blast From the Past

It was "Blast from the Past" dress up day at school today. We're having a week of dress up days for Super Bowl week. I knew that this was one that I could totally go all out for! So I wore my best oxfords, twisted my hair into an updo and wore as much vintage as I could. The first thing one of my kiddos said to me was, "Are you a cowgirl?" haha, FAIL. I told them that this is how people used to dress all the time! And all my students said, "Oh ya, I remember that!" Bahaha, it was cute. My mentor teacher didn't believe me that these were all my clothes and I dress like this on a regular basis. She said, "No you don't. You're kidding. Well, you DEFINITELY don't wear the shoes, right?" It was pretty hilarious.

I'm finally on my way with this teaching work sample-now I just have to finalize some things and send this baby off to the college of education! What a relief that will be.

God Bless, and hope you're having a good week!

1 Corinthians 4:5
So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

Excuse the frazzled, greasy look. I worked almost 12 hours today with little kiddos, playing outside in the wind and such. The bad lighting in these photos doesn't help. Curse winter for getting dark at 6 o'clock!

So totally darling! Love this era...why don't we dress like this nowadays (well, I do my best, haha)??? It's just so cute and feminine and functional. What's more comfy than a circle skirt?!

Kids are so cute and unpredictable:) I love how you styled your hair...I could never do that with mine and after 12 hours! Oh my, you look gorgeous! I would have bags for days under my eyes at that point and sad limpy locks for sure. Loving everything about your retro outfit:)
