Outfit: Blush Pink 1950's Dress

Hello all! Did you have a nice Labor Day weekend? Our was packed so full it just flew by and I'm not even sure what happened. We have a music festival that comes to our city each year called Lifelight and my sister was performing her spoken word on one of the stages (check out her blog here) ! We made it a whole family affair and spent the weekend out at the grounds. As it turned out the weather was horrendous, pouring rain at times causing this year to be dubbed 'mudfest'. We discussed that it would have been fun if we were 14 year old girls, but not as adults with small children to take care of, haha. But alas it was so much fun to see my sister perform on stage and get to spend time with my family. I would like to say that I have lots of pictures to share, but with the weather and busyness of it all I just didn't get very many!

This outfit is certainly not what I wore at Lifelight :) This is one I wore to church a few weekends ago and it is before I got my hair cut even! I'm so glad I cut it. It definitely wasn't doing me any favors just hanging in a ponytail like this all the time.

Alright, back to the grind I suppose! Have a fabulous Tuesday my friends.

God Bless!

I'm glad to hear you had a good Labor Day weekend! :) This dress is just darling, too. This is a perfect late summer look--and I'm experiencing major shoe envy over here right now!

Cheers,
Jenny

Beautiful dress! Sorry to hear about all the mud, hope you didn't get too muddy! All in all, it sounds like a great event; I'm sure it was special being able to watch your sister perform.

I could see from the preview in blogger you had this lovely rose colored dress but was so delighted when going to the blog to see the fun pattern present too!

Sometimes it seems as if the rain waits for our big plans, doesn't it?! Haha. You look stunning in this pink dress - it fits you like a glove!

I absolutely love the shots of the wind tossing the fabric about. They make a perfect dress even more so! I'm digging how the drop waist brings a dash of '20s, too.

Such a lovely dress! I love 1950's fashion. Again, loving your hairdo so much. Long weekends always seem to go by faster than usual weekends, don't they? Sounds like you had a fun weekend with fam, despite the rain!
