Outfit: Benson's Flea Market

Hello, ladies and gents! I am so glad it is jacket weather because I absolutely love how the item makes any outfit seem more complete. I never feel truly put together in the hot weather because I need that top layer as my security blanket.
This brown jacket has been my best friend on the occasional crisp days we have had. It is a very thin material, unlined, and the perfect shade of neutral brown. I actually don't remember where I got this one from...thrifted maybe? But I also have another jacket that is almost identical to this one except it is made of thick wool. So I will have a cooler weather version too!

I wore this outfit to go to a monthly event in our city called Benson's Flea Market. It has become a favorite of mine to attend each month and I always find the best treasures! This time around it was a jade necklace and pin. I know they're not a set, but I couldn't resist wearing them together. I am absolutely in love with the butterfly pin and want to start hunting out more jade pieces now.

I also found these magical and wonderful green sunglasses at the flea market! I've been trying to glean more 1930's/40's style accessories rather than the more 50's/60's era pieces, and these sunnies hit right on the mark. I'm not sure when they would truly be dated, but they certainly have a lot of clues pointing to them being from the earlier era. I am in love.

For anyone wondering I also ran into my old kettle corn friend at the flea market too! He picked me out of the crowd and said, "There's my beautiful lady!" Not even sure he knows my name but he finds me at the flea market each time to complement me and talk popcorn and nostalgia :) I'm going to have to set aside a few dollars each time to buy popcorn from him I think just because he and his wife are such sweethearts!

Have a fabulous weekend all!

God Bless,
KJA

That flea market sounds like so much fun! What great finds! I especially love the pin; I have an ever-growing collection of brooches, and I always love finding new ones!
And how fun, that the popcorn man knows who you are! I love it when that happens!

Those sunglasses definitely have that 1930s/Old Hollywood Glamour to them. With the scarf and sunglasses, you put me in mind of Gloria Swanson in Sunset BLVD (right at the beginning when we first meet her, not that end. When she just drips with Glamour even when she's not doing anything more exciting than hanging in her living room). But then you juxtapose that glamour in the best way by pairing it with a blazer. A bit of feminine and masculine paired together!

So stinkin' cute, everything! I'm also looking for sunglasses with a more 30s-40s style, and I hope I can find some as fabulous as yours!
