House Happy

As I mentioned in my last post, Sean and I finally found a house that we love and are in the process of purchasing it! I had to share just a few photos of the house because I think the color is so fun and I really love it. We need to do a few things before moving in, but our closing date is May 31st! I'm so excited to move it's kind of ridiculous. I know that home ownership comes with a lot of work, but I'm willing to do that if it means no more apartment living. I'm tired of hearing everyone around me at all hours of the night. It will be so amazing to have our own space.
We need to fix the roof before we move in and we also need to do some painting inside, as I really hate some of the colors (the master bedroom has a wall painted black...whaa?), but luckily we have about a month to move in after our closing date, so that gives us a little bit of time to play with.

I never expected to find a house in our price range with such a nice deck on the back! It will be great for having family over, and it also has a rather large backyard, which was one of the things on my list of needs :)

Don't even get me started on this bathroom. How cool is that to have two sinks? We didn't expect to get such a large bathroom in our house, but I won't complain that's for sure!

I love this entryway also, they even have a place built in for all of my shoes! Now if that's not serendipity...

Here is the master bedroom...Sean doesn't mind the paint job...but someone please back me up that it is butt ugly! Light blue and black I love in clothing, but not so much in our bedroom. I do love the little lights above the bed though, will be nice for late night reading!

So there you have it! I really can't wait to begin packing, and I've already started boxing up my clothes and such.
I'm so grateful to God for being with us throughout this difficult process. There were many times when I questioned whether we should even be looking for a house, but God was so faithful in finding us something that really encompassed everything we were looking for! This house is like a combination of all the good things we saw while we were looking rolled into one house just for us!

Thanks for indulging me a bit :)
God Bless!

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Katie! This house is just so lovely, and what a perfect first non-apartment home for you. I adore the color of it and your little deck is so nice in the backyard.

And man that is a big bathroom! I'm sure you guys will be able to take care of your house. It'll just be another thing to learn about. :)

But yeah, congrats!! This is so awesome for you guys!

This is seriously such a perfect house!!! I love the deck and yard, that'll be so nice to have people over. So much space in the house too, that's awesome.
I really do need to start looking for my own place, it's such a responsibility but an amazing one

The house is gorgeous Katie!!! I love both inside and out, congratulations to you too! I cannot wait until I am finally a bit more settled down in life, maybe I won't have to live with random roommates and rent forever!
Thanks for sharing :)

Ohhhh, I'm so happy for y'all!!! Moving into a house is so exciting! I agree, that paint isn't pretty, but it's a HUGE step up from what was in our master bath, entryway, and kitchen. No, really.

I know y'all are gonna love it and I can't wait to see photos of how you add your personal touch!

Yay! Awesome house! I agree, apartment living can only last so long before you yearn for a place of your own... :) As nice as the house is now, once you get a hold of it with your style, it will look fantastic! We'll have to come visit sometime in the future ;)

Congratulations!!! Yay!! We're going through the same thing here - we weren't looking for a new house but then we heard about one in a dream neighborhood and we listed our house and made an offer on the new house and it all worked out within a matter of 2 weeks - definitely one of those 'meant to be' miracles! I'm so happy for you and your new home and I can't wait to see how you paint the new master bedroom xxoo

The master bedroom is weirdly painted, no doubt. But that is easy to fix and my, what a large home. It's one you could be in for years if you chose. And a lovely deck.

LOL I live in an apartment too! We have a pretty noisy neighbour and another who practices violin 3 times every day. Congrats this is incredible. I have never seen a house this colour. It is my dream to have a coloured house. Excited for you.
