Casual

So, this whole 'it's the last week of school and we're also moving into a new house and I have play practice every night' thing is really taking up most of my time. I haven't had a chance to post anything/take pictures in a while! Suffice it to say, on these last few days of school Ive been going super casual in my workwear with some fun colorful pants and my trusty rain jacket :)

Here's to the last week of school and having a bit more time on my hands come next week! Whoohoo!

I've really been trying to think on this verse these last few weeks of school. I feel like when I go to my job I get in a different mindset-one where I have to be careful in how bold I am in speaking my faith. But this verse really helps me to keep Christ in the forefront of my mind, making sure that in everything I'm doing-whether it's teaching, playing a game with the kids, or even disciplining the kids-that I'm doing it all with the kindness, love, and patience I get from God. I don't have to speak His name to show His love, and that is what is important :)

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

God Bless!

Yay for school being almost over - seems teachers enjoy summer just as much as the students. :P

Woo hoo for school being almost over! This is such a fun outfit--an appropriate way to celebrate the end of the school year. I've been thinking about doing the pink and blue during my 30x30 and... yeah. I think I've gotta do it now. ;)

I'm a fan of Colossians 3 as well :) I thought of 3:22-23 a lot in relation to school work.

Even your casual outfits are just so cute, Katie! And still colorful as could ever be. The print on that jacket is really cute--tiny birds!

Good luck getting through the last week of school. Soon enough, you'll be freeee!

This is a casual look? Haha, I couldn't tell, its so cute! I love it. The print mixing of your adorable jacket and top are perfect. Plus, how wonderfully do your flats match this outfit?
I love your thoughts on showing God's love. Its true, if we keep Him in the forefront of our minds and let that guide our actions, there shouldn't be a need to profess so loudly about our faith. Actions speak louder than words. <3

" I don't have to speak His name to show His love."

I think this is one of the biggest ideas of being Christians. That it is not just talk (though it can be), but that we are the hands and feet of God. We are here to do his work.

Thank you for that reminder.
