Strike!

Well, last night was my final performance as Peppermint Patty in our production of "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown"! I thought I'd share a few pictures from the show and strike and put them on the blog for posterity :)

I put my hair up every night into a faux bob so I'd look more like Peppermint Patty. It wasn't easy let me tell you!
Here I am with Linus and Shermy backstage :)
The girls! Marci, Lucy, Patty, Frieda, and Sally!
Lucy and Patty!

After the last performance, we had strike and took down our set. Of course I had to don another 'Rosie' get up to get the job done! Strike is always a bittersweet moment. We are happy to have a break, but sad that the show is over! This was one of the fastest strikes I have been a part of. We tore apart that set like nobody's business! I mostly picked up screws and wood, and carried a few flats. I don't do well with the power tools....

Yep, I still have my Patty freckles on my face! What will I ever do without my freckles now that the show is over?

I truly, truly loved each and every person in the cast and I hope I can do many more productions with the Sioux Empire Community Theatre!

God Bless,

Haha, nice photos! I'm sure it was quite a challenge gathering all of your lovely hair into a bob, but you did a good job. And striking the set is always a tough moment. I miss those days when I did the spring play back in high school. Soooo many fun memories made with cast members :)

I love post-show pictures, hah. Doing hair for shows is always soo time-consuming. Not many theatres around here have wigs in the budget (and if they did, pin curls take me forever to do anyway, since I have so much hair), so finding the time is always difficult! You look adorable.

Oooh, I've always wanted to be in a play in my high school. In sixth grade all of us had to be a part of the musical, and I ended up playing Elvis haha. I still remember how fun it was--there's nothing like the feeling of a good performance--and am wistful sometimes for acting.

You look absolutely darling as Patty and I'm glad to hear you had a lovely time. The cast looks so close and your freckles are so cute!

Oh congrats on the show, looks like you really enjoyed yourself! And how did you manage to fit all your hair into that bob style, I always try to do it but to no avail!

Well hey there, Miss actor! Sounds like you had a great time overall at the show, though. Your hair does magical things and I'm pretty sure it's got a mind of its own. How EVER do you manage to put it up so many different ways? Magic hair, I says. MAGIC HAIR!

Those sunnies are so perfect... and I just like all th e things about your head in this post. Rose sunnies, pink lips, pink hair wrap! Your head is so supa stylish. :D!

Omg! You look so different with the faux bob. You look like a teenager. I can't even imagine where you put all that hair.

Also you in jeans is adorable.
