Inspiration: Bike Style

With the weather being so delicious on a select few days recently, I was lucky enough to get to pull out my bike for one of those days! I actually was making a bike style video to send to Modcloth (I will be sharing that later on!) and it was just a perfect day for polka dots, floral, and a bit of spring. I got my bike a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. It is the retro style I wanted with still having the function of a few speeds (I think this is an 8 speed bike?). Plus the yellow walled tires! Eep!
When trying to decide what to wear on a bike ride, I had a myriad of inspiration from google, pinterest, etc. One trend that I kept coming across in vintage photos was just a simple collared blouse/sweater combination, either worn with a skirt or short trousers of some kind. I added a bit of print mixing and a dash of quirky and there you have it!

The weather was so lovely yesterday that Sean and I took a super long walk around our neighborhood and actually found a street we haven't walked down before. We found a lake and a new little park too! It's a bit of  a jaunt from our house, but it's always neat to find out more about the areas closest to you, instead of just being little hermit crabs in your own basement. Hopefully more adventuring to come this spring and summer!

God Bless, Friends!

You look so adorable with your bike :) Makes me want to ride mine now. Can't wait to see your Modcloth video. I love to walk around my neighborhood and finding new places. One day I found a whole community of historic Victorian houses that I never knew were just a few blocks away. Amazing haha.

Eeeek, your bike is so precious! I've always wanted a retro bike and was lucky enough to get my hands on one recently. It definitely needs a paint job though, and I'm really liking how bright and happy the colour of your bike is! And the yellow detail on the wheels is just too cute.

And your polka dot skirt is amazing! I love the mix of floral and polka dots, too. Great print mix for spring!
