Outfit: Between the Trees

Hello, birdies! How is your week going? Mine is going fine. I finally went for my first run last night after taking a couple of weeks off and man it was rough. I did that thing where I accidentally pulled out the treadmill key and lost all of my data TWICE during the workout which is so frustrating. I'm not even sure what I did but I can tell you I promptly went home to my couch to hang out with Jimmy Fallon for the evening. haha :)

On the note of being healthy, can any of you recommend any good teas that don't taste like tea? I do this thing where I get really snacky at like 9 at night and I want to start drinking tea instead of eating crap, you know? Problem is I think tea tastes like bathwater. I just don't like bitter things, I'm not a coffee drinker either. I've tried many flavors of tea but end up just not liking them at all. Any recommendations would be wonderful!

I just rummaged this coat this weekend for three dollars, and the shoes and sweater for 75 cents! I was so pleased with my weekend of rummaging, I got so many amazing things and my big project for the summer is to overhaul my closet. I've never done anything like that before but I'm beginning to see how necessary it is.
The coat just has such nice texture and is a nice neutral color. I was so tickled to find it! The sweater is actually a walmart brand, not vintage, but I feel like the detail at the neckline gave it a bit of vintage flair, and I loved the color so much I snapped it up! The loafers were my favorite find of the excursion. I've been wanting some that resembled all of those old street style photos from the 1940's and I want to pair them with everything now!

I decided to try something different with my hair! The front is actually just one lock of my hair, but it is so long I could wrap it all around in this crazy fashion. I just gave myself some faux bangs and swept it around to the other side in a swirl. It certainly was...erm...eye catching that's for sure! haha.

Have a fantastic Wednesday!
God Bless,
KJA

I love tea! My favorite tea for that late night "I want to eat" feeling is peppermint tea. It's not black tea flavored as peppermint, simply just peppermint leaves. One of my favorite green teas right now is red goji and raspberry (Lipton). I flavor it with some honey and lemon and drink it every morning :). If you feel adventerous and want to try some black tea again, I love Vanilla Chai by Bigelow with honey in it. Honey is an awesome alternative to dumping a bunch of sugar in your tea to sweeten it up. Good luck!

Whoa, you got some neat things rummaging! And you didn't even spend anything more than pocket change. That must be the best feeling. You make me want to get out more and find garage sales, etc! That skirt is a dreaaaam!

Have you ever tried Celestial Seasoning's fruit teas iced (True Blueberry is amazing and so are ? What I like to do is boil a lot of water and stick about 5 tea bags in it and then chill it overnight in the fridge after the tea has steeped for about 10 minutes. Super blueberry flavor, aww yiss. And then you can pour it over ice for an extra chill and add a packet or two or stevia to sweeten it a little. I ahve such a sweet tooth at night so I know your feels...

oops! I didn't finish a sentence up there... *so are the Zinger kinds, like Wild Berry Zinger and Tangerine Orange.

Great thrifting finds, I do love the detail on that blouse! I love tea now, but used to not be a fan, the game changer for me is drinking it British style with milk (I take honey in mine as well). My favorites to drink that way are Peppermint and Chamomile. :) Happy tea perusing!

What great deals! The sweater is so cute and I love the skirt! For tea, I like jasmine green tea. My favorite brand is Stash but Twinning's is good too. If you steep tea for only two or three minutes instead of the recommended five min it should taste less bitter. :-)

Oh- I love that skirt! The colors and so pretty and the button detail is wonderful. That sweater totally gives me a vintage vibe even though it's modern- the neckline is very cute! I'm glad that your rummaging went well and you found some great things! :-)

hahah i always say that about my tea, too!! though my mom's tea is amazing...but that might be because she puts like 3 spoons of sugar in it. sigh. have you tried any of the spiced teas? those always have a delicious kick to them.

For tea- I think you just need to try experiment with herbal teas, maybe get a vareity pack... I love peppermint tea, and orange/citrus teas, both of which taste nothing like black or green teas. One tea I have not personally tried but which my father swears tastes just like root beer is a tea called Sarsaparilla Sunset (you can buy from redlodgebooks.com)

Also, this is darling. I like the slight school girl vibe the plaid gives this and the detail on the shirt is so fun and unique.
