This post is all about the hair people. I finally got around to spending the hour and a half putting curlers in my hair the other night. I used to use curlers when I was younger. As in, I made my mom sit there and put them in my hair. Back then the curls would last for around three days. Now they're flat by the end of the day, ha.
I loved having my mama put my hair in curlers though. It seemed to be a great bonding time between us as we'd sit and watch movies or gab while she did my hair. It could take up to two hours sometimes because of my super long locks back then. My mother has always had a talent for doing the hair of my sisters and I. We'd go to school with the most intricate french braids. I miss that sometimes when I just want my mama sitting with me on the couch combing out the tangles from my wet strands. Next time I'm home I may have to solicit her to do that! :)
For these curls I used foam rollers and twisted my hair before rolling it up, which created more of a wavy effect. I need to start playing around more with my hair-I love when it looks a bit different than normal!
I went to visit my sister and nephews again this weekend. I'm so happy when I get to spend time with them and hugs from my nephews always brighten my mood immensely. Not to mention getting to gab with my sister and mama! (pictured below :) ). Are they gorgeous, or what?! Just missing our fourth girl-my other beloved sister who is traveling the world right now!
Hope your Monday is full of sweetness darlings!
God Bless,

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For
whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen,
cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this
command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

And darn, you look like a girl who just got out from a retro movie, superb!
Oh my goodness, your hair is so preeeetty! It was so worth all the prep work because it looks gorgeous. You look like a scottish princess or something, hehe. :) Lovely lovely!
Well look at you Curly Sue! Amazing curls - when I had long hair I never managed to get a nice curl going like that, you look beautiful!
Haha, I remember when my mom would do my hair almost every day in elementary school. It was a process every morning and I'd be so impatient. Mom's are just amazing, aren't they?
I love love love how your hair turned out! Definitely worth the work :)

You have the most beautiful hair! Absolutely stunning! xx
You have such perfectly luscious locks Katie! I love how your curls came out. My mom used to do the same thing with me as well...hehe, fun times! If I ever have a little girl..I'm sure I will do the same thing :-) (Love the new header and layout)

Oh my word, your hair is adorable! I love how you styled it. My mom used to put my hair in pin curls for special occasions, which she hated because my hair is so thick. Oh the things mothers do for their daughters. :)
