Church Hopping

Finding a new church after moving is quite the interesting task. Sean and I went back to visit one of the churches a second time this morning. It was the larger church that had a late service. I have to say that I definitely like the worship part of the service and the sermon for the most part, but sometimes the pastor just says things that seem a little off to me...and maybe it's just my personal taste; he told a gory joke about a bird to start off the service and then was like "that had nothing to do with what we're talking about today"....ok, what? He also showed the trailer for the movie 'Yes Man' as part of an illustration, but then it seemed like he was promoting the movie a little bit, which I thought was inappropriate in a church setting...I do not advocate for that movie at all as it has really poor language and other things in it that I do not appreciate. Again, it's my personal opinion. I guess I'm just used to churches being very conservative, but there's nothing wrong with that in my book!
We'll just have to keep trying and hopefully we'll find a church home soon. :)

At any rate I was very comfy in my outfit today. I got these tights from my mom for Christmas and I LOVE them. They're super soft and have the prettiest little pattern on them. I also love this vintage dress I thrifted, it's so fun to twirl in, not to mention the pretty little pearl closure at the neck!
What do you love to wear on Sundays? Do you get all dressed up, or are you more casual? I rarely wear pants to church, but that's just old habit I guess :)

Proverbs 21:21
Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.

Hope you all had a happy weekend!
God Bless,

Hehe, this post made me smile and laugh a little bit because you remind me so much of me. Im always sitting in church and listening to certain pastors and when they make certain jokes I always just give a blank stare and think "what?!" to myself. "Did he really just say that?!" Hope you find a new church that you really love and enjoy! You look gorgeous by the way. I love this color purple on you..so pretty!! xoxo
