Outfit: 1940's Hair Inspired

Greetings and happy Thursday to you! This week is going much too quickly for my taste as I feel like I have so much to get done before I head off to camp next week to counsel. Where in the world is the summer going?! It is finally beginning to get warm too. Yesterday I just wallowed in the house trying to figure out why all I wanted to do was lay down sprawled out on the floor. Sean came home and checked the temperature and said, "It 84 degrees in here, why didn't you turn the air conditioning on?" haha, oooops! No wonder I had no motivation to do anything! We have tried to keep our house cool without the air on for as long as we could because, obviously we're cheapskates duh. :)

Anyway, I'm continuing to try out more new hairstyles and push the envelope just a bit here and there. I'll have to make this one my next tutorial as it was quite easily accomplished.
I actually had a dream last night that I cut off my hair up to my shoulders and I LOVED it. It really makes me want to go chop it now but I have commitment issues! Sigh. I would also have to re-learn a lot of my techniques that I've grown accustomed to with long hair.

Hope you have a splendid day my friends!
God Bless,
KJA

I love seeing that so much of your outfit is thrifted! Its amazing the beautiful vintage things that can be found in thrift store and yard sales! I love love your hair do. I actually recently cut my hair to my shoulders and its the shortest Ive had it since the 8th grade, many moons ago! I love it but I also am just getting used to how to style it. I feel like I should take advantage of the shorter hair to try out some shorter vintage hair styles! I think there are so many. My skills aren't that great in vintage hair so Im looking for some hair tutorials. Your vintage styles are always gorgeous! http://theredlipchronicles.blogspot.com

Your hair style is just the coolest! It makes me really wish I had enough hair to do that. Also, love the outfit. It's so sweet with that perfect '40s flair!

Cheers!

I love the color of your skirt! SO pretty. And your hair is so much fun! I think it's beautiful on you,and it also reminds me of the Queen of Hearts (in the Tim Burton version. Only in a much prettier way, haha!)
It's also so fun to see all the different hairstyles you come up with. And I totally get you on having commitment issues to changing your hair. I'm the same way!

You look so cute!! Really love your blouse and what a great hairstyle. I just chopped off all of my hair and it feels so good. I have commitment issues with my hair too so I recommend cutting it little by little if you want to go short :)

Bahaha! This is the same reason why we don't turn on the air conditioner too! :D But sometimes it's too hot for being cheap! :D
Love this new hairdo, it's super fun and quirky! And the red pleated skirt is fantastic, incredibly pretty!

Ah! you would look so cute with shorter hair! (though I know it takes a long time to grow it where it is now), and I think most vintage styles are meant to be for that length hair too, so I wouldn't worry too much about needing to relearn things :)

This is a fun and colorful outfit with a fun hairstyle.
