Outfit: 1940's Shirtdress

Greetings friends! It seems that with the end of school last week I seem to be in that place where you're not exactly sure what day of the week it is anymore. Every day feels like Saturday for a while until you get yourself into a nice little schedule again. I am trying to be diligent in accomplishing a few things this summer so I can't let too many days slip by me or it will be gone before I know it!
Last weekend I had the opportunity to get together with my family. We're actually terrible about things due to work schedules and this was our 'Easter' time after about a month! haha. But call it what you will it was still wonderful to see family and as always my three little nephews steal the show. We took them fishing on Saturday and it was just beautiful thing to see them fish for the first time and wade around in the water with their rolled up jeans. It was refreshing to see them take such wide-eyed interest in seaweed, rocks, and sand. My three year old nephew was so excited when he thought he had 'caught' a worm on the end of his hook! We didn't have the heart to tell him it  was just his bait he had captured because he was just so thrilled :)

This is what I wore to church last weekend. I found this beautiful printed dress at a thrift store ages ago, but it needed mending. I finally got around to fixing all of the pulled seams, which took me a good amount of time. Lo and behold as I was sitting in church I found a few more pulls in the fabric that I didn't see the first time around! My goodness but there is a trick to this thing of buying old dresses. But I love it so much that it is worth every bit of time and poked fingers.

Hope you're having a great week all!
God Bless,
KJA

1 Corinthians 1:26-27
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.  Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

This is a darling look for you, and I admire the work you put into (and are still putting into) making this dress wearable and gorgeous.
