Our visit to the Pumpkin Patch

This weekend Sean and I visited a pumpkin patch and got ourselves a cute little pumpkin to take home! I fully intend on trying to make a legit pumpkin pie out of it. I've always wanted to make a pie from fresh pumpkin, and not canned. Have any of you ventured to make one from scratch? I'll have to let you know how it goes :)
Anyway, it was an absolutely gorgeous day for pumpkin picking and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I stuck some fake leaves into my mass of curly hair, wore a dress patterned with leaves, and called it a day!

I've seen some of you have visited pumpkin patches as well! What's your favorite pumpkin activity: Jack-O-Lanterns, baked goods, painting?  It's all wonderful in my opinion.

God Bless,
KJA

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Your hairdo is so classy vintage! Not many people can carry that off and I was scrolling through the rest o your posts too to see if you specially styled your hair in another way and that it is not normally how you would wear it.

I wished we had fall here coz I enjoyed looking and reading about all the things you all do during fall. I hope your pumpkin pie turned out great!

I am full of envy! I would love to visit a pumpkin patch like this so much, but we don't have anything like this in Australia since Halloween isn't done here, and when you have autumn it's summer! I've also never ever tasted a pumpkin pie before...ahh they sound so good :D

Making pumpkin pie from scratch... that sounds kind of fun (and daunting!). I mean, I guess you just have to take the pumpkin goo out and bake it and then shred it finely to pieces... yes, "just" do that hahaha. I wish you luck, sweet Katie!

I really love that first picture with your back to us. The silouette of that dress is gorgeous! I love that you're all dressed up to go pumpkin-patchin' ;)

Have a wonderful week, Katie!~~
