Productivity in a Nutshell

Well, there's nothing like sleeping in ridiculously late to motivate one to actually get things done around the house! Neither Sean nor I set an alarm for this morning and for some reason both of our bodies decided that it would be prudent to sleep until 1 o'clock (pm people)!! Needless to say I was not happy when I looked at the clock....However after eating a quick breakfast/lunch we quickly got set into a house cleaning frenzy. We actually got more accomplished than we do on a normal Saturday in just a couple of hours, so maybe sleeping in wasn't such a bad idea? But seriously...I never want it to be that late again!

I can't decide which decade I'm supposed to be from. This hat and dress are very 60's, while the shoes and socks are quite 40's inspired...But for some reason I wanted to pair the two together! This is a dress that belonged to my grandmother (I'm assuming she made it) and it is simply perfect for fall. It has the perfect red color and the long sleeves are great for that chill in the air. It is also very simple which means it can be styled in any number of ways! I've worn it as a dress, a top (found here), and a skirt (found here) before. Love it.

Our plans for the rest of the day include a massive grocery shopping trip we've been putting off for weeks and supper with Sean's family. Hopefully I can convince Sean to do a photoshoot in the park near some gorgeous trees as well, but we'll see about that one...:)

Have a lovely Saturday Lovlies!
God Bless,

You look so lovely! I love that this dress was your grandma's. I have a bunch of my grandma's things too, that I just love to wear.

Lucky you to have inherited so many gems from your grandmother. that dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it- great color on you & i'm lovin' the simplicity of it! Crazy you both slept so late, I hate when that happens not nearly that late even.

At times I would like to ransack your closet... this is one of those times. I'd go for that gorgeous red dress.
