Feeling a bit 60's

I  attended the baby shower of one of my closest friends the other day. It seems so strange that all of my friends are having babies and such. I still feel like a baby myself! At some point in life I'm going to have to realize that I am no longer a little kid, even though I act like it! I'm just young at heart, right? Nothing wrong with that!

This is quite the different hairstyle for me. The dress inspired me to go a bit 1960's and so I parted my layers in the middle and twisted a poof in half of my hair. Then I pinned back the parted pieces in the back. I quite liked the result.

I threw on some cat eye eyeliner and a boxy purse and the look was complete! To go even crazier with this look I took some foundation to nude out my lips as well. That's the first time I've tried that! I love being adventurous and out there with fashion, that's what makes it so fun. :)

God Bless!

Awww, don't worry about everyone else! That's how my older brother feels--his friends are getting married and some are even getting pregnant already and he's like, "but I'm only 22!" and I'm all, no worries, everyone goes at their own pace! Heck, I'm still single. :P

Haha, but you already understand this. This is such a cute look and I really love that belt!

Whoa killer combination here Katie! I am just completely loving your cat eye makeup. I try to do this all the on my eyes, but I never feel it turns out looking all that prominent. Somedays I wish I had my own makeup artist...hehe.

I felt the same way for the longest time as many of my married friends were having kiddos in their early-mid 20s and I didn't have Keane until I was 29! Definitely no worries...you always kind of know when it's the right time :)

Thanks so much for sending that recipe over my way! Can't wait to try it out!

This is my new favorite outfit on you!! I love the plaid and the blouse is darling!!

And hey, I'm almost 31 and still feel like a kid sometimes. I feel like I still have some time, but the window is getting a little smaller for me - you have loads of time though, and you should enjoy it!

I feel the same way! Which is really sad, because I'm only 20! Why is everyone getting married and having kids, because it is FREAKING ME OUT!

I love this outfit! Super cute - and you are so right about that lipstick. Super killer.

Your hair looks really dark in these pictures compared to normal. Did you change the color, or is it something else? I can't figure it out! :)

that is SO funny to me that people nude out their lips bcuz mine are naturally like that and ppl used to sometimes ask me if i were sick bcuz i generally put on gloss or something to make them not look so much like that... well that was some part of hw/college and for the past many years it's been a la naturale for me haha. anyway, fun look, that skirt is great!! and aaaaah babies, that is def in my "ten year plan" right now haha. you DO seem (& look) super young to me though. how old are you btw?
