Fly Away

I had an uber busy day today so this will be a short post. Excuse the tired strung out face I'm sporting in these photos! I worked all morning long to make three batches of tortillas and a huge oreo cake to take to my husband for his work potluck before I had to head to work myself. Not to mention the wedding that I am a part of is this weekend (which I also am working on making the cake for) so I'm very preoccupied with that at the moment.
My sister in Thailand is having her birthday tomorrow! We are trying to work out skype arrangements, so I hope that I can talk to her on her birthday! We all miss her so much.

I found this most amazing cardigan at a rummage sale we passed by and went to on a whim. This is a Lucky Brand cardigan with lovely embroidered birds on it! Could it be any more perfect? Not to mention that it only cost me 50 cents. I think I scored on this one.
When my boss at work saw me she said, "Katie, you just always look like you were born in the wrong generation! I love your style." Talk about a compliment! I told her that it was true, I was certainly born in the wrong time (for fashion anyway).

Have a lovely evening all!
God Bless,
KJA

Wow that is one perfect cardi Katie - and you lucky duck to have scored it for only 50 cents! Is that a Pendleton skirt? It's so pretty on you. A vendor at this local antique shop I go to gave me a bag full of them for free and there's a red one that looks just like that! Now I want to try it on and style it :)

Talk about a score! This cardigan is perfection! I can't believe you found it for so cheap. Not to mention how lovely this skirt and bag are as well. It's so funny, every so often I get the "you were born in the wrong era" type comment, I always take it as the biggest compliment too. That's so great that your boss said that!

Such a great compliment! I get that a lot too! And that sweater is just amazing - and for 50 cents? It can't get more perfect. :)

I love the cardigan, that was a great score! I adore it because of the birds, I love anything with birds on it!

Also - we just made homemade tortillas for the first time this week! Yummy!

Hope you are able to talk to your sister!

That cardigan is beautiful! I am loving the blues with the red too. The compliment that your boss gave you is seriously such a good one, especially for a lover of vintage fashion. I saw your blog from the swap list and just thought I would stop by and say hi! Following along now,
