Romans 14:8
If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

This is what I wore on Sunday. I'm getting in this bad habit of posting outfit photos way behind when I actually wore them. I loved wearing this outfit though! This blouse is one of my favorites and I felt so comfortable in it.

This has been a crazy week. I planned to post these photos Monday or Tuesday, but I just didn't get around to it. It's hard for me to say it, but after all the excitement about getting a new job only around a month ago I decided to quit. I have had so many health issues (mainly caused by the amount of stress of dealing with 17 + three year olds on a daily basis). It makes me feel like such a weak human being that I can't handle a simple daycare job, but it just really wasn't right for me. I think I needed to try it for a bit to help me decide that it isn't what I want to do. I'm going back to my part time job at the district's after school program. I know I enjoy it and it is much less stressful. Plus I loved my coworkers and am so happy to be back with them again. I will start that job on Monday.
I've come to the realization in the past year of my life that I want to do things that make me happy. I haven't been happy with what I've been doing in a long time (as far as work is concerned) and I'm just not sure that life is all about work, which is what it has felt like. I want to do more creative things. I want to write children's books, I want to spend more time with my family and maybe actually see my friends once in a while, and I want to get involved in my church. I want to ACT again! I miss being in plays so, so much. And of course, I want to be a more pleasant person for my husband to live with. Seriously that guy has taken a lot of my crabbiness in the past year.

On a lighter note, a very happy birthday today to my step-father!! I haven't seen my parents in quite a while it seems. I hope you have a great birthday and I miss you!

Hope you all have a happy Wednesday! Enjoy life a little bit :)
God Bless!

Looking Forward to Fall

I am LOVING this perfect weather we're having the past couple of days. Right around 72 degrees and overcast? Perfection in my eyes. I just want to be outside! It was so much more pleasant to be out with my students also when I wasn't drenched in sweat!
I am so excited that signs of fall are already showing. We saw geese flying in formation the other day and I said, "Yippee! They're flying south-that must mean cold weather is on it's way!" Some may think I'm crazy, but I live for cozy sweaters and layers and not sweating.
That's why I stole my hubby's sweater today...it was just chilly enough (or it could be the fact that I'm still sick) that it was perfect for a chunky knit with a short walk in the park. Can everyday be Saturday?

A few weeks ago I was going to bite the bullet and buy a necklace just like this on ModCloth for around 25 dollars (plus shipping). I couldn't do it though - mainly because I'm so cheap. A short time later I found this one at Charlotte Russe for 8 dollars! It probably isn't the same quality, but I love it just the same. It pays to be patient (and thrifty) I guess!

Here is me almost falling off the log into the disgusting water...I was scurred.

Duckies!

Hope you all had a relaxing Saturday! Lots of love :)
God Bless!

Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

A Case of the Thursdays...

Luke 12:6-7
What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

Sometimes you have to dress up to go run errands with the hubby. Even when you have nothing special going on that evening-just running to walmart or the grocery store, it never hurts your attitude to throw on a pretty skirt and a fun pair of shoes. :D

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I'm all tapped out...
God Bless everyone!

I Wear This Dress Far Too Often...

I wore this yesterday for church and to go to dinner with the hubby's family. I had fish and chips. It was delicious. When I visited Seattle I had fish and chips like three times-it is the best! Although, it does tend to taste better when you are right next to the ocean feeding the seagulls some of your chips ;).
I've been spending my evening tracing and cutting out prairie dogs for my kiddos tomorrow. They are going to practice cutting and coloring them for our "Prairie Life" themed week in the three year old room!
Hope your Monday was a sunny one!
God Bless,
KJA

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Tidbits

What a nice weekend! As always, it went far too quickly. But I was able to see many friends, talk on the phone with my family, and even relax a little bit! Not to mention to a bit of cooking/baking (which is a favorite pastime of mine).
Not a bad end to a very tiring week. And now it's back to the weekly grind tomorrow! I'm not quite sure I'm ready for another full week of work, but-is anyone really?

These photos are from a week ago, but I haven't got around to posting them yet. I love this vintage dress with the fun detail down the front! I'm always amazed at how much better quality vintage dresses are than dresses you can buy at a store nowdays. This dress is fully lined and just made so well. I always have to wear so many undergarments under my dresses that I buy new- I love not having to wear like 6 slips on a summer day!

Yesterday some friends and I went to the fair in town. We didn't go on any rides or even eat any fair food, but we did get to see some amazing animals! I got to pet an elephant and it was just the most beautiful animal. I patted it's head and it nuzzled me and put it's head next to mine! What a gentle giant...Love elephants!

In other exciting news, I sang on the worship team for the first time in church today! It was so much fun! I felt so amazing up there singing...can't wait to do it again! I love finally getting involved in a church after moving around so much after transitioning to college. It's nice to have a church home!

Hope you all have a splendid week!
God Bless,
KJA

Philippians 4:4-5
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Summer Simple

I have trouble dressing how I want to in the summer. I'm such a lover of layers and summer certainly doesn't lend itself to that. I'm always trying to find simple, vintage pieces that I can throw on in warmer weather! This tank of my grandmothers and vintage shorts fit the bill perfectly! Just one layer-simple, simple. And of course, these shoes again. Once I find an item I love I wear it to death for a while until I feel as though I've done it justice!
Paired with my wet locks I look a little worn from the long week. I was so glad it was Friday today! I'm in need of a little refresher for sure.
Tomorrow morning a friend and I are going to check out the fair together! I'm very excited :)
Have a relaxing weekend all!
God Bless,
KJA
