Ok...so apparently my theme for this week is super comfy cozy. Cardigans, warm socks, and scarves to keep out this crazy SD wind!
Well, the week is finally nearing an end and I'm not sure I've accomplished that much. Fridays are my work days though, since I don't have class. I plan on washing clothes finishing homework, and baking up a storm in preparation for this weekend, when our family is having Thanksgiving. I can't believe how close the year is to being over-and the semester!
I like to think about Thanksgiving as much as I can at this time of year. It seems as though it gets so overlooked in the wake of Christmas coming around the corner. I never understood that. I too love Christmas-but what has happened to Thanksgiving? What a great time it is to get together and thank God for all of the blessings we have that many others do not. People make a bigger deal out of Halloween than Thanksgiving...But I love getting together with family and baking and eating and mmmm.....can't wait!

I discovered as I was walking to class that I should probably invest in some gloves this year....I had a really nice pair I got for Christmas a few years ago and last year I lost one of them...I always seem to lose only one! But I survived the rest of the winter just pulling my sleeves over my hand...however winter weather is approaching and this is SD...sooo...I need me some gloves!

Also, I'm sitting here in class typing this only to find out that class was cancelled...sigh...I hate when that happens. Don't get me wrong, I love it when we don't have class-but when I go to that class and THEN find out we don't have it?! sigh....

creepers gonna creep

You guys...I'm having one of those days. I really didn't like my outfit today...it's super comfy, but I just felt a little like a clown or something and I'm not sure that I like these blue pants anymore...Is it too much? Do I look like a clown?
Apparently the creepy old men across the street while I was taking pictures didn't think so. They were waving at me....That is the worst part about taking pictures of yourself...having to worry about people seeing you and wondering what you're doing and why you are taking pics all alone in the cold...I don't like it!

Sean and I went to the movies last night-there was a school thing and we got in for a dollar! Can't beat that! We saw Megamind (an animated film), and I can't lie to you-it was pretty funny. I find that most Dreamworks movies are either hit or miss. They are either very bad or very good-and this one was good! I recommend it :) Even though it does star Will Ferell...

Well, off to more homework! The semester is almost over...I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel-but just barely!

Purple

Well, Sean seems to have my computer working as of now...we'll see how long it lasts!
I don't seem to have a very difficult semester as far as classes go, but it must still me taking its toll on me. I usually get up when Sean leaves for work around 7 am and spend the morning getting things done and working on homework. But for the last few days I have been going back to bed and sleeping the morning away, meaning that I have to find time to rush through my homework later in the day whenever I have a break between classes and such...sigh. I need to get my rear in gear because the semester is coming to an end and I really want to finish strong!

Wore my new purple tights today!!! They look a little dark, so you can't really tell how purple they are in the pictures-but man I'm pretty excited! hahaha

Just a short post today :) I have some article reviews due this evening :P

Banquet

Bleh, my computer was not working today AT ALL. In fact hubby is at this moment looking into getting me a different one for the coming year or possibly using his old one because the one I have now issued through the school is just not working for me...And if he can't figure it out, there is no way the help desk can do anything for me!
So, that's why I am so late in posting today :)
I first wore just a nice comfy outfit to go to class in. Later in the day though I had a scholarship banquet for the college that I had to go to so I did a quick change in the dressing room after my theatre class and luckily the banquet was in the same building! Whew! My donor was awesome. He was this man with a long scraggly beard and a leather vest! He was such a gentleman! He pulled out my chair and gave me a corsage to wear!!! I was probably the only woman in there that got a corsage ;) I felt special haha. I was also just about the last person to leave because he talked to me so much-which I didn't mind :) he told a lot of good stories! Anywho, so I had to post a picture of me and the corsage :)!

We talked about worry today in church. About how in life we should do everything that we can as humans, but when we've done all that we can do we need to leave it to God and not worry about it, because He will take care of everything according to His will :)
I think this reigns very true in my life as I am definitely a worry wort, and just need to trust that God is going to come through and I don't have to do it all by myself.


Philippians 4:5-8
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. All the pretty horses

Ok, so I know this is a lot of pictures...but just have fun looking at the pretty horses, ok? I got to go to my sister's house today and we went to her church to have a baby shower for my new precious nephew :)
It was a fun day! I was my older nephew's little buddy all day. He wanted to take my hand and show me everything and sing to me and have me read to him-it was the best!! I don't think he had ever seen anyone wear tights before, and so he kept rubbing my legs and picking at them, haha! It was darling. I love those little guys sooooo much. And they are the cutest EVER. And no, I'm not biased-those children could do gerber ads.
Then I went to good old walmart with my mom and we walked around and shopped and talked for hours. Saw a few friends there that we stopped and talked to and whatnot.
I am super excited because I finally bought some colored pairs of tights!!! I've wanted some forever, but never found any around here and never wanted to order them. I've been wearing out my tights lately and with winter around the corner I needed some!!
The hubs stayed home today and cleaned up the kitchen for me :) What a sweetie. So now he's earned some video game time :) That's a fair trade off right?

Ps: This is the most comfortable outfit ever. Most of it is vintage, which is the best part. Another awesome thing is that these shorts are a two piece suit. There's totally a matching sailor jacket that I plan on wearing as soon as I fix the button on it :):)

Those special people :)

What a wonderful, lazy day today :) Spent with my Sean :):)
We bummed for a while this morning and slept in and then had egg english muffins, which are delicious. Then we bummed some more and poked around on the internet for a while.
We spent the afternoon looking around town at all of the podunk places here to shop, like pamida and the dollar stores (of which we have three...) We came home and watched Camp Rock and then my darling made me supper! It was all his idea-French Bread Pizza, which I have never had before-and it was DELICIOUS!! All he did was cut a loaf of french bread in half and put on some sauce, pepperoni and cheese and baked it at about 350 for 12 minutes-easy peasy and so yummy to my tummy! :D He's so sweet :)

haha, there's a funny story about this necklace that I'm wearing too. When I was a young kid (probably like 11ish) I wanted this necklace for Christmas, or at least I had shown it to my mom and told her how much I liked it....The wonderful woman went out and bought it for me-except she bought it in the longer size. One time I randomly just said "you know, if I got that necklace I'd want it to be the shorter one" when I didn't even know she'd went out and bought the longer one! So she went and bought the shorter one to give me on Christmans. After I opened the gift and loved it, she told me about how she had bought the other necklace too!! I felt so bad and wished that I hadn't said anything about the necklace length...haha! She's so wonderful!! :D:D So now she has the longer one and I have the shorter one and I think about that every time I wear it-she loves me so much and I am so thankful to have her in my life-and I get to see her this weekend as well-which I'm very excited about! love you mama! :D
