Blue Dress and Sweater Vest

I found yet ANOTHER way to wear my favorite blue dress-a sweater vest! It was a perfect outfit with a pair of loafers on a sunny day. It's amazing what a little warmth in the weather can do to boost one's mood! Today was an absolutely gorgeous, sunny day in the 50's. The snowhill on the playground is melting so a few of my students spent all recess playing in the little "river" that the runoff was making. They were building makeshift dams and talking about currents and rapids-I didn't even mind that they were getting a bit wet and dirty because they were so delighted with their little river. That's one of the best parts about being a kid-the little discoveries that you get to make in the spring because of all the changes in nature! Delightful to see as a teacher :)

I wore this for some old fashioned burgers at the diner with Sean and his father and brother! That's becoming our favorite place to frequent as of late. I think it'd be fun to be a waitress there and wear full skirts and saddle shoes and call everybody 'doll' and 'honeypie'. That sounds like my cup of tea ;)

I also got to have lunch with my beautiful sister earlier this week! I made chili and even though she didn't have a super long lunch break it was great to catch up for a bit. Don't know what I'd do without my sisters you guys....they're seriously my favorite.

I'm going to soak up as much sun and warmth while I can as the temperatures are supposed to drop drastically again this weekend. Oh, South Dakota, you're such a tease!

God Bless!

2 Peter 1:5-8
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I love that you put the belt on top! And those loafers are just perfect. Cute little tassels!

I'm glad that the weather is so beautiful up there right now--it's supposed to be so nice for the rest of our week, too! Yay for happy weather! And I'm glad your kids can enjoy it, too. ;)

You had weather in the 50's??? I am so jealous! It's in the 30's with freezing rain here today. Yuck.

I love your outfit - great idea to pair the sweater vest with the dress! I love your loafers too and it makes me so happy to see bare legs - I have to believe spring is coming here soon too!
