How to Wear Crocs

I had quite the thrifting haul this week, I can't wait to show you all of my finds! This coat pair of shoes were two of my best treasures. I have been looking for a pair of t-strap heels for SO LONG. Currently I am borrowing my sister's pair while she is away on her adventures. Alas I knew I had to give them back to her when she returned so I've been keeping my eye out. The other day while I was thrifting with one of my good friends I spotted these and my heat leaped a bit in my chest! They are probably the highest quality shoes I own. They are all leather in kind of a dark brown/burgundy shade and feel like a dream. Oh ya, and they are CROCS! What?! I was shocked as I joke about how ugly crocs are all the time (come on, who doesn't?). Apparently they are a high fashion branch of the shoe company-who knew? At any rate they are fantastic and I have been walking around in them like a giddy idiot parading my feet in front of the mirror because they are just that pretty. Come on, all of us girls do that, right? Gee, I sure hope so or this just got awkward...

The coat was my second find. It has the most darling shape to it, with a collar and ruffles around the sleeves and closure. It also kind of looks like a dress on it's own so it is such a pretty pairing with skinny jeans, dresses or whatever! I can't wait to get some use out of it the remainder of winter and into spring, as it is quite lightweight. I'm becoming somewhat of a coat hoarder, and our coat closet seems to be bursting at the seams at the moment. I just can't get enough of vintage/vintage inspired outerwear!

I bought this dress months ago but have neglected to wear it because it is quite a summery dress. It was just beginning winter weather when I purchased it. I decided it was time to bring it out though because I couldn't stand it sitting in my closet any longer! I was really drawn to the color and of course the darling bike print. I can't wait to wear it on my bike this spring! I'm planning all of these fun outfits for when the weather warms up, I just can't help it :)

The scarf is my grandmother's. I found it in the pocket of one of her old coats just waiting to be shown to the world, in all of it's silky floral glory! It is one of my most treasured items.

Also, funny story- when my husband saw me in these tights he exclaimed, "Oh, honey I told you not to use the spray tanning stuff!" hahaha, oh that Sean can be such a sassypants sometimes!

I had the opportunity to go running while it snowed pretty hard this afternoon. I said a prayer that I wouldn't slip and break an ankle and God must have heard me because I was able to stay on my feet! It was quite icy on the sidewalks and I almost went down a couple of times. At any rate, it was quite lovely to run during a snowfall. There were flakes in my hair and I had my music on and I just felt very free and lovely. I've always hated running but I think I'm warming up to it now that I'm trying interval training. In previous times I would just run until I couldn't breathe anymore and then I felt like a failure because I couldn't go very far. Now, however I feel more strong and powerful when I can keep up with my 5k program. Huzzah for that!

Hope you had a lovely Saturday :)
God Bless!

Whaaat? Those cute shoes are Crocs? No way! I thought they only made those hideous flip flop things that people love wearing with gym socks, but I guess not. ;) Heheh, you look precious, Katie! Your outfit is so bright, and I do adore the ruffles on your jacket. I also want your bike dress, because I am obsessed with bikes and biking, and so yeah. It's really cuuuute eep.

Also, that's so good that you got to go running! Yay you! And yay for no slipping... we don't want that! :)

I hope your Sunday will be lovely tomorrow! <3 <3

I can't believe those are Crocs! They are adorable & perfect with this outfit. And so is that coat; great finds!

I had a pretty good thrifting weekend myself so far. A much needed button-down & an awesome vintage sweater.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Running in the snow? Wow, it sounds peaceful and definitely freeing from the way you described it. Glad you didn't slip!

I cannot believe those are Crocs, they are GORGEOUS! I definitely always make fun of crocs but my boyfriend's sister also has a really cute pair of flats that are Crocs so I may now be proven wrong! The coat is also gorgeous, can't wait to see what other goodies you found!

I have a coat just like yours! Just a different pattern. It's the perfect shape and it looks great on you. When I saw your title...I was scared to scroll down and see you wearing the typical crocs. But jeez, these are beautiful shoes. As always, love your color scheme.

I've got to agree, it's hard to believe that those pretty t-strap heels are made by Crocs! Who knew? You surely hit the jackpot of thrifting with those and the lovely coat. The collar is just darling! And let's not forget the cuteness that is your bike print dress. So lovely!

Have you looked at the croc's website? They have quite a few cute pairs of shoes. There are some heels in the sale section that are 70% off, 82% off, etc.
