Bare

What a cold, cold day it is today! Thank goodness for jeggings when tights just won't cut it!
I had to go out and shovel around my car today. Since it won't start when it is this cold outside I had to shovel around it to make sure that the apartment owners won't tow it for sitting there for more than 48 hours. It was a nice workout though!

Is anyone good with home decorating? That is just something that I am not gifted with at all. Sean and I still have bare, empty walls and tons of pictures and paintings sitting in boxes. The only decoration we have up is Sean's big red 'Coke' sign. Classy I know ;) I just don't know how to put things up in a way that will look nice. When we visited Sean's sister's apartment it looked really great with cute little decorations on the wall and a beautiful painting in the living room. My sister also has such a cute apartment with the walls just filled with gorgeous pictures that she's taken during some of her travels. I don't really mind having bare walls, but it looks so much more like a home with a little something on the walls. Hopefully we'll get around to doing it before we have my family over in a few weeks :)

Enjoy your Wednesday!
God Bless,
KJA

Snow in my shoes

Sooo...it snowed A LOT yesterday! We have a huge drift where our shoveled path used to be again :) But at least it's light powdery snow, so it shouldn't be too bad to shovel. However, I decided that instead of shoveling I was just going to trudge through the snow for some pictures. I couldn't seem to get the camera set up right and I had tons of snow in my shoes, but I think you'll get the idea :)
At least it's nice and sunny outside! That brightens the mood quite a bit.

I hope you are all having a good week. I'm still waiting to hear back from a place that I applied to work...but no word yet :( I may just have to suck it up and get a job in the mall-at least I wouldn't have to drive very far since we live right by it!
Enjoy the sun!
God Bless,

Snowflakes

This past weekend went a little differently than planned. Sean and I were supposed to spend time hanging out with our amazing sisters, which we did, only my poor sister came down with a fever :( I was so glad that we were there to take care of her though because she was pretty ill, and I hate being alone when I'm sick. Pray for her please! I spent a little time with her watching some silly movies at least-anyone remember 'Principal Takes a Holiday'? Ya, be jealous. :)

We did get to hang out with Sean's sister and her boyfriend though which was a blast! We stayed up late watching movies and talking and I must say they fed us very well-French bread pizza anyone? Ummm....YES PLEASE! We laughed about their crazy cat, talked about school and such and just hung out-it was great :) I love getting to know Sean's family more. It was such a worry for me at first because I'm pretty shy, but his family has always made me feel very welcome and comfortable and I'm so grateful for that! :)

I hope you all had a good weekend and are having a great Monday!
Blessings,
KJA

Psalm 86:5
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

Today's outfit was inspired by the snow. I wanted a deep, saturated color that would pop against the glorious white, and I've been waiting to wear this dress for some time now. I pulled it off of the free rack at our flea market/thrift store in town and it has a couple tiny stains on the top of the dress-but nothing that can't be covered by a sweater or scarf! I adore the flowing tiers near the bottom of the dress and the color is just gorgeous, I couldn't pass it up...especially for the price!

The snowflakes outside are just stunning. They are those perfect little flakes that aren't all clumped together, so you can see each and every detail of each tiny flake that drops from the sky. I always loved it when I was little and they would fall on my gloves. I would just stare at them until they melted, trying to find two that were the same, admiring God's artistry :) It always amazed me how something so little could have so much detail, which makes me think about how much more amazing it is that we are made up of so many little cells and DNA that God also put together much more intricately that a snowflake. Creation is beautiful is it not? :)

Go Roxy Go!

Hooray for warm weather!! My car started and that is such a huge relief. We will still have to get a different one that will be more reliable in the winter, but at least I know this car starts and we'll be able to take it somewhere. I drove it for about twenty minutes to make sure it ran ok and boy was it shaky! Poor Roxy, she's been through a lot...haha.

Tomorrow Sean and I are going to see our sisters, I couldn't be more excited! Two visits in one weekend-it should be amazing :)
Today I'm just working on homework and being lazy :):)
Hope you all had a good week and have a great weekend!
God Bless,

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

I love this sweater I got for a dollar at a thrift store. It is super soft, just the right fit, and a great neutral color. I have so many ideas in my head as to how I want to wear it, and with the short sleeves I can wear it all through spring too if I want!

I know I've been wearing these shoes in every post lately, but I really just can't get enough. They go with absolutely every outfit and they're definitely my favorite shoes ever. I need more oxfords!!

Red

I used to not cry at movies or tv shows. What happened to me? It seems the older I get the more blubbery I get about everything. I finished season 6 of Lost today. I have no idea what happened, nothing makes any sense to me and I so after the last episode I was just confused and red and puffy from crying. Isn't that silly? It's only a tv show. In the words of Charlie Brown-Good Grief! Is anyone else with me here?

It is so warm out today! Nearly 30 degrees-that is quite the switch from -10!! It is so sunny and just perfect out. Everything is melting and dripping all over. Of course next week it's supposed to be back in the negatives so I'd better enjoy it now! I know the bunnies are enjoying it because we have bunny tracks all over the place in the snow! We see them from our back patio once in a while. It amuses me because we are right in the middle of the city in an apartment and we still see bunnies all over! I love it. :)

I adored the comfort this outfit gave me today. It felt like I was wearing pajamas and the scarf is so soft and cuddly. I got this dress off the free rack at a flea market-it is silk and wonderful and just the most perfect color.
Well, it's almost the weekend! I am excited because Sean and I are going to visit the town where both of our sisters live, so we both get to see family! It's gonna be a blast. :D

Have a happy Thursday!
God Bless,
KJA

Lost

Not much to say today, I'm just doing laundry and finally watching season 6 of lost. I watched all 5 seasons and then never got to watch the 6th. It's been bugging the tar out of me how the show ends and soon I will find out!

Hope you're having a happy Wednesday :)

New Specs

Woo Hoo! I got my new specs in the mail! I ordered some new glasses off of a website called zenni optical. All you have to know is your prescription and you can get a full set of frames and lenses for as little as 7 dollars. You can also upload a picture and try different styles on to know which you'd like best! I had a hard time choosing a pair, but I wanted to go with something that wasn't too loud. Next time I'm totally springing for a bright yellow pair or something similar to that, but I wanted at least one pair of normal glasses :) haha. I love this pair. They're plastic, so they don't have nose pieces, which tend to irritate my nose. They sit nicely and the prescription seems to be fine. Plus I love the way they look. I think they're keepers!
Since I wanted to showcase my glasses right I thought I'd opt for a comfy cardi and long teacher dress. Sooo comfy.
How is your week going?
God Bless!
