Happy Monday

Hello all! Well it's the last Monday of regular classes for this semester and I am so excited! In less than two weeks Sean and I will be moving and I am so antsy to get it over with and just be settled! Last night Sean said to me, "Have we moved yet?" We both just want to get to packing and be in our new place! I will probably be packing up a lot of my clothes within this week, so I may or may not be posting much next week. Also a few days after the move we won't have internet so I probably will be taking a week or so off from blogging after we move. Also, I really should be working on final projects and such right now...but it's so hard to get motivated! My classes this semester were, thankfully, not too intense. It's going to be tough to take this next semester off of classes and then have to go back into it full force for another year of intense teaching and classes!
Also, please be praying for me that I get a job starting in January-we need it!
God Bless! And happy Monday :D

Let it Snow!

Alright, I really didn't want to post this many photos of myself...it seems a little vain...but really I just loved the gorgeous snow! It was my first time being able to take pictures in the softly falling snow, so I drug Sean out before church and he snapped some photos! It was so lovely. I just love how pretty the winter season is...even if it is cold!
They showed a clip of the movie Home Alone in church today, so Sean and I were like "Um, we have to watch it when we get home now!" haha. So we had some lunch and now I'm blogging and THEN we're going to get the dishes done and snuggle on the couch and watch Home Alone! (while drinking Italian Sodas and eating pie of course...:D )
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
God Bless!

Rest Up

Another short post today. It's a rest day :) Got up ridiculously late, haven't done anything all day...sigh :D haha. I suppose it's preparing me for the last couple stress filled weeks of school and moving ahead of me! I will soak it up while I can!
God Bless!

1 I will extol the LORD at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
2 I will glory in the LORD;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

let us exalt his name together.

Christmas party!

This is gonna be a short post. I'm in the middle of getting ready to go to Sean's work Christmas party tonight! I'm pretty excited. I had Sean help me pick out the outfit. He like simple things, so I can see why he would pick this sweater dress and tights! It's gonna be so comfy for the hour long drive and all that mingling I'm expected to do :D haha. I also adore these snakeskin heels I thrifted years ago. They are one of my favorite pairs of shoes! And of course for fancy events I love to break out my favorite vintage jacket! LOOOVE this jacket. I also had fun playing with the tripod today! Sean got this old one from his dad for me to play around with and I just love it. I didn't have to worry about where to set my camera and I'm hoping tomorrow I will have more time to experiment with it! It was great!
Hope everyone has a great weekend and stays nice and warm and toasty!
God Bless!

An explanation

I got a comment on my blog that I kind of wanted to address. The comment was a question about my last post and how I had thanked God for finding an apartment, even though my husband and I had worked and found it online. I wanted to explain why I am thanking God in all things and why I believe what I do.
I want to let you know that I am a Christian who loves God more than anything. I have a lot of faith in what God does for me. I know I wrote in my post that my husband and I did a lot of work to find an apartment, which is true. However, if God hadn't orchestrated it, I don't believe that we would have had any luck in finding a place. God prepared that apartment for us, led us to the website that helped us find it, and answered all of our prayers to Him. Some people believe that "trusting God to take care of things" means that you just sit back and let Him do ALL the work. It doesn't work that way. We couldn't have sat back and just expected God to come to us in a dream or something with the perfect apartment, put a downpayment on it, and fill out the paperwork, all while we sat on our butts. But God did help us find the right place for us and gives us the resources that we need in order to be able to pay for that place. I hope this is making some sense...it makes sense to me-but I'm looking at it from an inside perspective. I just wanted to let you know that I trust God in all things to HELP us in life, not to do every little thing for us while we sit back and watch-He gives us free will and choice. He is everything that we NEED Him to be and more And He loves me and all of you too!!
Just had to let you know where I come from :)
Love you all!

A Place to Live!

Ok, I didn't want to post too much about the apartment we looked at until I was pretty for sure that we had it-I didn't want to get my hopes up. But Sean just went and made a deposit today so the apartment is ours!! I am so beyond excited. Praise the Lord! Now I don't have to be stressed out or worried that we aren't going to get the place and I can start making preparations. I am ecstatic to be moving to a place where Sean won't have to commute and I can (hopefully) find a job and we'll be closer to (some of) our loved ones. Plus-we're right behind the mall!! (Whether that is a good or bad thing is yet to be determined) And right next to a grocery store, AND right next to a place where I applied to work. God is so good you guys. It was never up to Sean or I to try and make it happen because God took care of everything! My hubby took time looking at places online and trying to find something that was a reasonable price, but yet wasn't a dump-I love that man! He works so hard to make life great for me and I am so thankful for him. Bahhhh!!! :D:D Today is just a good day :D Perhaps it's because I slept like TWELVE hours last night. sighhh....BLISS!

Anywho, here is a layout of our apartment. It's pretty much the perfect size for us AND it has a walk in closet, AND it's on the first floor...
Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
What more can I say? God is so good.

There is a dishwasher, a working stove, French doors on the second bedroom, a little patio area, NO CARPET IN THE BATHROOMS, and tons of counter space in the bathroom. It's only going to set us back 600 a month and the only thing we have to pay is electricity. Heat and water and everything is paid for! sigh...:D:D:D

Aaaand here is what I wore today. It's pretty bright and cheery :D I didn't know how I was going to wear this blouse when I found it at a rummage sale for a quarter, but at that price I knew I had to have it! Hopefully I will find many more ways to wear it, but I think I found a way today!

Lack of Sleep

I want to start this post out by telling you that I got about four hours of sleep last night. I woke up at 3:30 AM wide awake and I never went back to sleep. I sat out in our living room on the computer for three hours until Sean woke up and have kind of been on autopilot most of the day. I'm still slightly ill, but getting dressed helps me to feel like less of a bum and pushes me to get things done instead of just laying on the couch feeling sorry for myself. Lord get me through these last few weeks of classes!
But, really what could be more comfy that a cotton dress, oversized shirt and cozy scarf? Even if it is quite cold outside...

Ok, you guys? I'm not saying I did, but what if I accidentally killed a squirrel this morning? One was under my car when I went to go warm it up before class and I heard a story once that sometimes animals will crawl up onto your engine for warmth...what if there was one under there and I didn't know?! Those squirrels are fearless I tell you....

Well, time to crawl up under a blanket with my heating pad and hot chocolate...and then wait to be tortured at theatre class...sigh.

Have a nice day lovelies!
God Bless,
KJA

Mark 2:21-22
No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskin.
