I'm Bringing 60's Back

I've been waiting for months to be able to wear this dress. Over a year ago a friend of mine gave me a bag of her grandmother's clothing that she didn't know what to do with. This was one of the gems she gave me and I fell in love with it immediately. Unfortunately it was too small at the time. Apparently my body changed a bit because I slipped this baby on again the other day just to try and it zipped right up perfectly! It's corduroy with the most intriguing color and pattern. It's one of those dresses that makes one stand up straight and carry oneself a bit differently. I love that clothing can have that effect on a person-a certain garment can change your whole mood!
I also love this dress because I don't need to dress it up with fussy accessories. The print speaks for itself and it can stand on it's own.

Have a happy Sunday darlings!
God Bless,
KJA

h my gosh, that dress really does speak for itself! It's like a work of 60s modern art (does that make sense? like that art they made in the 60s that could look modern today? haha). But it's so neat. And I love the collar and the complementary purple hat!

That's so nice of your friend to give you this dress! The print is awesome and kind of reminds me of something I would doodle :) I think the fact that it's corduroy makes me love it even more!

This dress is a show stopper and I love the little hat. Such vivid colors. It's amazing how differently clothes fit the body at different times. Especially vintage.

Gah - every last vintage dress you own Katie I am utterly in love with! What a great little score. I have a couple of those in my closet that I'm saving for when I do finally fit into them (though given that I'm currently pregs that will not be for awhile..hehe).

You wear hats better than anyone I know. Darling bday photos above. Hope your day was delightful <3
