Grandmother's Blues

The weather is finally starting to warm up a bit. It was nice to experience a 30 degree day after the negative temps we've been experiencing. I thought it was a perfect sunny day to don my floral straw hat and a few springy pastels. I just can't help combining all shades of blue together, and this was no exception. The coat and blouse are my grandmother's, the cardigan is my great-grandmother's and the skirt belonged to the grandmother of a good friend. What a combination!

The lovely sun also afforded me the opportunity for another run today! The temps are supposed to stay in the 30's all week, so I can't wait to get out and enjoy the warmth while it lasts. Thank goodness it's February! This has to be my favorite month. Of course it's my birthday month, so I may be a bit biased :) It just seems as though this month is the gateway to spring, so how could I not love it?

Did any of you watch the Superbowl yesterday? Sean and I decided to watch the extended edition of Lord of the Rings instead. We apparently don't care as much about social events as we do about keeping our geeky reputation. I think we enjoyed our choice much more than we would have watching four hours of football. Shudder.
Anyway, happy Monday you Dears! I hope you have a fabulous start to your week :)
God Bless!

You look so cute with that hat!

Love the choice to watch the movie instead. We went to dance class.

Yay for birthday months.

Haha, I love how warming up is 30 degrees for you Northern folk. ;) Though I guess in comparison to those -40 windchills you were having the other week, it would be quite heavenly. Also, that's fabulous how you decided to watch LOTR instead of football. I decided to study and eat at Jason's Deli instead of football (though it was on TV, haha). Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't take a particular interest in all things football. :)

I do believe blue is one of my favorite colors to see you in. You always look so lovely in it! And that hat is so cute.

And ooh, birthday month! <3

I hope that 30 degree air is coming my way soon!

You look so lovely and ladylike! I love your pencil skirt!

We did watch the game - but more for the socializing with my husband's family than anything else!

So much history in this adorable little outfit. That jaunty floral hat is the cutest thing! I think a LOTR marathon sounds way better :)

I love your vintage style so much...you are gorgeous!

And I agree about football. I don't even know who won. Or who played...haha! That's a bit embarrassing. Guess I've got some google-ing to do.

Your grandma and great-grandma passed down the most gorgeous items to you! The colors are lovely and I can't get over this hat. It's just so cute and it looks adorable on you! Also, I just read your last post (it should be noted that I want to steal your jacket) and I can't believe these are Crocs. They're really cute!

Bahaha, way to keep up the geek reputation. Proud of you two!
Also, that last photo? Too cute. You are like a living doll with your natural beauty and vintage style! I may not have the same style, but I can definitely appreciate yours. :)
Happy Monday to you as well - er, well, Tuesday by the time you read this. Haha
