Cloak

Here are a couple more of my thrifting treasures from the other day.   When I saw this coat, I thought it had a really cute print and we all know my obsession with outerwear (especially lately...). When I put it on though I discovered it had this amazing cloak type hood that was just so different from my style but I LOVED it. My husband is on board because he likes anything resembling a character from a fantasy novel. I've already been wearing this to run all of my errands because I feel SO COOL in it you guys. Usually on a good day I feel cute or sweet in what I'm wearing but I feel just plain cool when I wear this. Do you have any items like that in your closet?

The boots were my other find. I think that some versatile black booties are kind of an essential in one's wardrobe. These are so comfortable and I'm already planning all sorts of outfits to go with them.

I bought this top at TJ Maxx with a gift card a while ago. Lace, peter pan collar, peplum, seafoam green...how could I possibly pass it up? It is all of my favorite things put together in one dreamy combination. Not to mention that because of the way the peplum is designed it looks wonderful when I spin! Yep, it's my favorite :)

My week has been going pretty well. Work has been more mellow this week which I am so very thankful for. Since the weather is warming up a bit I can take the kiddos out for recess now. It makes my life so much easier. Indoor recesses are hectic! I'm teaching lessons on the rainforest too this week, which they have been really into. It's fun to find activities that they are actually interested in!
Hope your Wednesday is a fine one Sweet Peas :)
God Bless!

Indoor recess does sound pretty awful... little kiddies all crammed in a room and the poor teacher can't take a moment to breath fresh air!

Your peplum top is super twirly and fun! :) That twirl picture is just lovely. I've been appreciating movement in picture a ton more because they can be so difficult to get while looking elegant (and yours is totally elegant, my dear!).

No, I don't have anything that cool in my closet! What an amazing coat! I love the pattern and the different shape of it. You look amazing. And I can't believe you got that top at TJ Maxx! Wow! It's super cute!

Oof, I can just imagine how indoor recesses must go...craziness! Glad its warmed up so they can go outside haha.
Oooh, and you are definitely looking cool in this awesome cape/coat! I like this style a lot. Plus, PERFECT black booties. I'm searching for something like those. I have a pair that I love, but the heel is just a lil too high for practical day-to-day wear...aha.

Ok, that top is perfection. And it looks so cute when you spin! Love it. And the cloak is SO awesome! I love that hood. I would totally wear it everyday. And I think my husband would approve just because it has something to keep my head warm lol he's all for the practical.

So pretty! I love love love the cloak/hood. All of my coats are boring and black - they most definitely don't make their way into outfit pictures! On the other hand I would probably never take this coat off. It's amazing! It looks especially awesome with your dark, burgundy jeans. And I like that you are wearing blue socks with them. A great way to incorporate a pop of color that I've never seen before!
