Outfit: Vintage Green and Blue Suit

Happy Monday friends! It is a happy Monday indeed because I spent the entire weekend with my family! We were finally able to have our 'Christmas' and so we got together and made homemade ice cream, played kinect with the nephews, played some John Denver records and just had a great time hanging out together.
It is also a good day because I am starting a new job! I didn't post anything last week because I wasn't sure when I would be starting, but I am starting today! I resigned from both of my part time jobs and will be beginning a new position at a bank operations center working with one of my best friends I have known since elementary school. It is full time, 8-5, and I will get a lunch break (which is an upgrade from my previous situation). I know it is a definite side-step from education/children and will likely be quite boring (so they tell me), as it is a basic, entry level job. However the ability to have a set schedule, a job that I can leave at work, and benefits will make it worth it. Plus it might be nice to have a little boring in my life for a while. It might be nice to be less stressed out all the time and not be around sick little kiddos every day.
My last day with the kids was tough for me. Working after-school means that I have had some of the students for nearly three years. That means I know some of the students and families very well and it was difficult to say goodbye to that. I will hopefully keep in touch with them, but it was definitely time to move on.

On a fashion-y note, I know if you have read my blog in the past, you have seen this  suit. It is my favorite in my collection mostly because I've never seen anything like it in all my perusing. Oddly enough it is Sean's favorite too, and he doesn't always like much of what I wear. It is just so eye-catching on its own that I usually just accessorize with black, but I decided to throw on a cranberry fedora on this day. Good thing I did because it was incredibly sunny out! I can't complain about that though. Sun means warmth in all of this winter cold we've been having!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
God Bless,
KJA

Bold, beautiful colour combination. I adore deep, rich hues like this in the winter. They help break up the greys and whites of the season's palettes so well.

Huge congratulations on your new job, dear gal!

Oh wow- so cute! In that color combo and with the matching vest, amazing! I love that you paired it with the cranberry hat! The punch of red makes it even better! :-)

What a lovely suit - and I adore the contrasting red hat! :) I'm sure it was hard to say goodbye to your old job but hopefully your new job treats you well :)

Yaaay, congratulations on the new job!!! And cheers to new beginning! Leaving all the kiddos you know must be hard, but starting a new chapter in your life is an exciting prospect! ^_^
Oh and that suit is my favorite as well, the colors suit you so well and I love the red lip!

First off- congrats on the job! It is so nice to have a set schedule and to be working one job instead of juggling, I'm sure! I'm sure leaving the kiddos was hard but imagine their surprise if, when parents drag them along for errands, they walk into the bank see you! <3

It is interesting to me that your husband doesn't always like what you wear but likes this. I think it is so cool and unique, but it is very eye-catching. The whole story just makes me go "awwwe!" at you too. Your husband is cute.

This whole set is amazing Katie! Congrats on the new job too, but totally understandable that it was hard leaving the kids! Wishing you the best of luck on your first few days!
