Outfit: Vintage Photoshoot Pt. 1

So, a few weeks ago I had some special young friends of mine stay with me. I decided that I wanted to dress them up and have a vintage photoshoot. together. I will post pictures of them later this week, but here is what I wore for the occasion! This red and black dress is one of the most unique I have found, with an interesting tie at the neck, one pocket on the right side, and such a pretty fabric. I wish this one were a bit longer though, and I'm thinking of taking out the existing hem to see if it was hemmed twice by chance. I got this dress along with about six or seven others that were all hemmed very short so I assume whoever owned them must have been quite short as well and needed several hem-ings to make them the right length.

Happy Monday, friends! I have quite the busy day planned for myself and so I'd better get to it! :)

God Bless,
KJA

We both had busy Mondays, then! I hope yours went absolutely SWELL! n____n Aaaah, your hair is absolutely gorgeous here. I just said absolutely twice. Oops, three times. I can't get enough of that beautiful red color on you. Paired with your lips, it's a winning combination!

Lengths on dresses can be so odd. Best of luck to figuring out what to do with it, though I do like it where it is here if you're undecided!

I love this outfit. Ive found that too with certain dresses vintage that its been hemmed to compete with modern day short lengths but I prefer my dresses to hit my knee. I like more modest lengths, so Ive even bought a dress from a vintage shop and when the owner was ringing me out she told me she had her seamstress hem my dress so if I wanted it hemmed more its doable, while I totally was thinking of unheeding it instead! So its all about preference and of course height of the person wearing it :)
