Festive

Well, I am certainly glad for Christmas vacation and the fact that I still get one even though I am an adult now. I was sick much of the past week, so I'm looking forward to having a couple of days off to get a bit of work done on some projects at home.  The days just fly by and before I know it there isn't one thing checked off my to-do list! I was at my in-laws for Christmas this past weekend, so I decided to put on some mild red and green for the occasion. Mint and red is probably my favorite color combination, so I felt just delightful in this ensemble! I really want a kitchen that is this color palette someday. At the moment I don't have much wall space in my kitchen, but I would love to try and add some checker boarding of some kind in these shades. Just don't tell my husband :)

So, any of you bloggers out there who use blogger: do you have trouble with blogger altering your images when you upload them. I am constantly adding pictures that come out super grainy, or lightened, or smoothed out, etc. Example A: the picture below. It looks way different on my computer than it does here. I'm not sure what to do about that?

I decided to give myself a faux bob again. I'm really restraining from cutting my locks. All the people around me in the real world tell me to keep my long hair, while a lot of you commented that I should cut it. I'm just afraid of one of those middle school kerfuffles where you chop off your hair and everyone exclaims how much they loved it before and WHY ON EARTH would you ever cut it?! Haha. I'm sure I'll take the plunge soon but for now, a concealed faux haircut is what I'll have :)

This past weekend, as I said, I was at the in-laws having our Christmas time together. I got to go thrifting with my husband's grandmother (which is always grand), and I even found the most amazing piece of furniture to add to our home! It is currently in the back of my father-in-law's suburban, but soon Sean and I will have the most beautiful red, marbled 1950's diner table in our kitchen!! I could not be more excited. I found one similar to it a little over a year ago, only it was yellow and Sean wasn't so keen on it. As soon as I laid my eyes on this red one I loved it. Not only is it in great condition, but it came with two extra leaves, which are usually lost or broken by this time. That way we can have a nice sized kitchen table, but put in more leaves when family visits-it's just perfect! I cannot wait to get it into our home so I can put on an apron and bake a pie or something. Now all I need to be on the look out for is some vintage dishware to set atop the beauty. I'll get pictures as soon as we can get it set up, but here is something similar I found on Google:

Have a splendid day friends! Hopefully now that I'm feeling better and things aren't so crazy I'll be back to regular posting again :)
God Bless!

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

I just adore this outfit. You look so cute :) My pictures often look a lot different when I upload them to blogger as well but I'm not sure how to fix it. And I've been thinking about cutting my hair shorter too. I think you would look great with short hair and luckily yours isn't curly like mine so it won't become super poofy if it's short haha.

My pictures I find look a lot grainier after I've uploaded them to flickr or photobucket, which is very frustrating!!
I love this look, the Christmassy colours are perfect on you! This dress is such a gorgeous, classic piece and you look great with the faux bob :)

The table is lovely! I understand if you would want to cut your hair for a change, but if I had such cool pretty hair I would never cut it :D
Blogger is messing up my photos too. I upload them and all of a sudden they look darker than the original, wtf ? O_o

Ouu, I love this faux-bob! I'v tried to do this, but I find my hair falls down quickly. Yours is longer and looks thicker, so I really should be able to haha! I've been having similar thoughts about cutting my hair. I personally love your long hair, but it does always grow back. I'm no help :s You look lovely in this red dress, dear! Glad to hear you had a good Christmas :)

bahaha, cutting your hair would be such a scary thing! I say keep it if you're uneasy. You can always make short hairdos but you can't really do the other way around! I don't think I could ever cut my hair, personally. I want it to be as long and beautimous (totally a real word) as yours! Sigh. Maybe in like 5 years. :)

I love those boots so much--eek, especially the fringe on them and those laces! Those are absolutely gorgeous. And the red and mind are so cute. :D

PS) my mom was sneaking through your blog and wanted me to let you know that she loved your little video! She thinks you're darling... which is absolutely true! <3

I adore your style, girl! You have such a charming, elegant wardrobe!! I think the 1950's jumpshot was my favorite of the round up post!

I love your cute dress! I think you should keep your long hair, that way you get both options, faux bob or your cute Lucy hairstyle :) Also, I'm in love with your new table, it's so fabulous!
