Play practices have been in full swing this week-I'm getting so excited as time gets closer for the show to open! Also, my playbook matched my dress, so, you know- awesome sauce!
This is another of my grandmother's dresses. I think she was younger when she wore this one-perhaps still in school in the 1950's. I love everything about it, the colors, the plaid, the simplicity of the cut-it's one of my favorites!
Also, I'm not sure how I even fared without this beat up men's jean jacket before I rummaged it several weeks ago. Literally I haven't been wearing any of my other jackets-this one just fits that "I'm somebody's sweetheart" vibe like it's an oversized letterman jacket or something.
Also-tomorrow is a big day!! Sean and I close on our home tomorrow! I cannot wait to be able to call some place our own and have some freedom to do what we like with it. I'm glad that I'll be able to have a yard on a nice day, instead of staying cooped up inside. We already have the new roof put on, and now we'll need to do some painting and a few other repairs, but otherwise the house is wonderful, because it will be ours :)
Sean and I have been doing alright with packing, but it's difficult to pack much until you get closer to your moving date-we have a little over a week before we move in so we still need dishes and clothes and all of that good stuff. We're going to start packing a few boxes a night with comedy on netflix in the background. Last night it was a Ken Davis comedy show-I've always been a Ken Davis fan. Just the way he talks is humorous in itself, and then you add his sense of humor in and it was a pretty delightful way to get some packing done :)
Well, have a nifty day all you guys and dolls!
God Bless,
KJA
