Fire Pit

What a fun weekend! Sean and I did quite a few things, including enjoying a fire with a few friends and a trip to a flea market! I will write more about the flea market later this week. These photos are from Friday night when we went to see some friends for a bit of marshmallow roasting.
I thought a casual, cozy outfit would be perfect for a chilly night by the fire. I wore grandpa's old coat and my comfiest (although not my most flattering) jeans.

I've been experimenting with my hair a bit more lately. I've been doing a lot of different twists instead of falling back on my usual ponytail. My hair never does the same thing twice, so it's always an adventure!

I found this top in a pile of my stepfather's old clothes that he wore in the 1980's?? Can you believe it, he just had this perfect mint polo sitting in a pile in our basement WAITING for me to find it and give it some love.

Not much to say other than that, husband and I are going to search some more houses...Happy Monday friends! Another week begins...
God Bless!

  2. Your grandfather must have been one stylish man! The polo reminds me so much of something my grandfather would have had in his closet back in the day. I really think your casual outfits are the cutest I've seen around! The jeans are perfect! And a marshmallow roasting...oh yeah!

    Happy Monday! xo Marisa

  3. You look so cozy in that coat! Also- I always love your hair and how it looks so nice all the time (mine seems to last for about five minutes before turning into a mess half the time!)

  4. Your hair twists are so fun! You're always making me want to do things with my hair, but I'm just so inept at making my own hair look good. If only I could temporarily clone myself! Or have my mom over here at college with me to make it look pretty, hehe.

Your coat is so cozy and warm, and that's rad that you found some more old vintage clothing--that mint is a superb color!

  9. Hearing about your weekend gave me such happy feelings :) Roasting marshmallows...yum! I love making s'mores with 85% dark chocolate :) What a beautiful outfit, I love the red coat (seriously, could it be more gorgeous??) and that butterfly collar pin is absolutely darling. Love what you did to your hair in this post, too! So so pretty, Katie!

I just love how most of your clothes have such wonderful history to them! Way to bring your grandpa's mint polo out and about. Love it with the pink cardi.
    Good luck house hunting!
