Why hello there! Is it very cold where you all are? It is high of 6 degrees (edit: It is actually - 9 degrees today! I guess the forecast was a bit generous) here in good old South Dakota. I'm over it already. We got a ton of snow this week, so now we're basically a huge icebox until spring.
With so many cold days ahead, I'm glad I have my collection of vintage coats. This particular coat belonged to my great aunt I believe. The fur collar keeps me nice and toasty!
We actually took these photos near the school where I work. Behind me is the field of the playground where my kiddos play kickball at recess. You can still see a lot of grass in these photos, but I guarantee there is about a foot of snow covering it now. For teacher it is the season of stinky boots and drenched snow pants spilling all over the floor. I can't blame them for loving snow though. I remember the joy I had going out to make snow forts or throw snowballs when I was a kid. When does it happen that we stop enjoying those things as much? I get too cold now that I'm an old fogie! Haha.
Also, I added a few more hats and things to my shop this week! Go check 'em out! :)
God Bless,
KJA

This is such a classic and gorgeous look. Your coat with the fur trim is so lovely!! As is that blazer, such great colours in it. It's super cold and super snowy here too, so I feel your pain!

Oh my gosh, 6 degrees?! How do you even survive, Katie?! If it's 27 degrees I'm pretty much dressed up like an immoveable eskimo. You are really quite brave to be living in the Dakotas, you know. I have relatives up there and I keep the temperature for Bismarck on my weather page just to see how crazy cold it is sometimes. Stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteSigh. Well, you look like you're pretty bundled up, so that's good. :) Your curly hair is GORGEOUS! I can only hope mine gets that long one day. I have to say, the reason I started curling my hair was because I loved how yours looks all the time. You're always such a princess!
6 degrees?!? It had been in the 50's here in Alabama, but the last few days it has shot up to the 70's. I don't think that can be a good sign...
ReplyDeleteLove the fur collared coat! (while typing that I almost typed collard, but fur collards sound pretty disgusting, haha) So cute.
We're finally having some winter weather in SoCal... which means its 59 degrees lol. I don't think I've ever even experienced 6 degree weather. You look so chic in this coat, I love the fur on the collar.
ReplyDeleteGood heavens, -9 degrees????
ReplyDeleteI would die. I'd just stay buried in my blankets 24/7 and not do anything.
Aha, you definitely need that fur for that weather!

A great coat and a darling hat indeed.
ReplyDeleteBetween the weather, the thoughts on kids in snow and even plans to get your tree this weekend- our weeks are looking pretty darn similar! Good luck with the shop.
Ah what a beautiful coat! And your hair is always so gorgeous!!
