Every Dress has a Story

This weekend I got to see a production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. performed by young actors in our community. It was so great! Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite stories to begin with, and it was so fun to see some of my young friends perform it-and splendidly at that! This is what I wore :)

As always, this dress has a story to it as well. It was my grandmother's (surprising, I know) and she made it herself! According to her, she had a dress exactly like this one that she wore through. Since it was one of my grandpa's favorite dresses, he wanted her to make another one and so she made this one out of the same pattern. As it turns out, she got pregnant and was never able to wear this dress that she made. It has just been sitting in a box waiting for me for 50 years! So I have a brand new dress from the 1950's, ah, the best :)

Tomorrow I go back to work...sigh. The summer has gone much too quickly...

God Bless!

1 Corinthians 8:9-11
Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge.
