I'm not going to lie about the fact that I get bitter every year when Halloween is barely over and already we're having to deal with a mass amount of Christmas decorations in stores. Sean and I had to return something a coworker gave him from Hobby Lobby. I had never been there before and so I wasn't prepared for the insane amount of STUFF. Just stuff everywhere in every color and design one could imagine. They had an endcap devoted solely to "bling office decor." I mean, my goodness! Who needs that? I was exceedingly amused. But there were also aisles upon aisles of Christmas decor. Maybe I just don't get into decorating as much as the next person, but oh my stars.
I'm wearing a lovely striped dress from one of my favorite bloggers, Marisa of The Shades of Monet Chronicles through the Flock Together blog. I was so excited to receive this beauty in the mail! It has a beautiful lace applique and one of the most versatile colors I've found. The only questionable thing about it was the length for me. I'm a good three inches taller than Marisa and it felt quite short when I put it on! Thank goodness for fall and the ability to wear tights. Here is how the whimsical Marisa styled this dress!
I wanted to match the stripes and wore white tights, a vintage white shell belt and black and white oxfords. It was so much fun to wear!
Hope you are having a splendid weekend and making good use of your extra hour for daylight savings time ;)
God Bless!

You look like you could be in a Shakespearian play, and I mean that in the most perfect way possible. I just adore those puffy sleeves! And they work so well with the dress. You put outfits together in such a perfect way.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's kind of ridiculous how the day after Halloween, Christmas magically appears EVERYWHERE. And Hobby Lobby is the worst--their Christmas section starts like, mid-September or something. SRSRLY WAT.
You look adorable! I really love it!
ReplyDeleteKisses!
So interesting to see you try and emulate her look a bit!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job styling Marisa's dress! I feel the same way about short skirts and tights, I wouldn't wear one without the other!

OOO! I love how you gals both styled this dress. I don't usually like white tights, but they look amazing on you! That belt is also so amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I understand completely about what you mean about Christmas decorations. I mean, it is only November!

ReplyDeleteYou are so cute! I love this dress on you! The tights and oxfords are perfect with it. I used to work in retail so I guess im used to seeing all the Christmas stuff SUPER early, it still is annoying though!
