Vintage Ball Cap

This week marks the end of summer for me as I go back to work tomorrow and school here begins next Monday already!
Sean and I talked about staying in and doing nothing this weekend, but we decided to take our Saturday and find all the rummage sales in town instead. We got some pretty good deals, I found some paintings and cookbooks, and Sean found some LED Christmas lights, so he was a happy camper :) haha.
I wanted something cute and comfy, so I threw on this vintage ball cap that I've had for a while just waiting to be loved. I always think of that scene in It's a Wonderful Life when Donna Reed is at the house-opening for the Martinez family and she is wearing that adorable ball cap, sweater, and scarf. Every time I see that scene I want to recreate her outfit. I pinned an image of it here. I am just so inspired by casual 30's, 40's, and 50's fashion lately. Give me the sturdy separates like jeans, skirts, and sweaters over a fancy dress for everyday wear (not that I don't love my fancy dresses too).

Pssst...also if you like this sweater, you can have it for your very own! It is up for sale in my shop here, and I will hopefully be doing a huge shop update in the next couple of weeks once I get a package in the mail! I finally ordered a dress form so that I can take much better photos of the items I am selling. I am very excited for that.

I hope you have a splendid start to your week!
God Bless,
KJA

  5. Oh my lady....you and your vintage hat collection! You always have me drooling over them and thinking for as much as I wear hats, I need to get on the ball and find more vintage ones like yours!

Sounds like the perfect way to spend your last weekend before school starts up. Loving this look from head to toe...perfect mix of vintage meets playful and just casual enough.

Wishing you one awesome school year darling! xo Marisa
