12 Inches of Hair Donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths

So, anyone who has me on facebook or instagram yesterday already knows this but, I donated my hair yesterday finally! I had been waffling on it for months and decided that with school/work starting up again soon it only makes sense to have it quite a bit shorter as I wear it up everyday while working anyhow. I can't lie, I already miss my long tresses a bit, but there are so many fun things I can try with my hair now! My first order of business is going to be trying out curlers to see if I can get those nice 40's waves I've been wanting :). I got it cut straight across with just a tiny little bit of face framing at the bottom (barely though haha). I'm not a bangs girl and even though I am extremely curious to see how I'd look with them I know I would regret that one for sure.

The ponytails were about 12 inches of hair, and I sent it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which you can read more about here! I sent it to Locks of Love when I donated in 8th grade, but three years ago and this time around I decided to do Pantene's program.  8 inches is the minimum so even if you don't have hair as long as I did you can still donate. I'm sure in about three more years we will go through this song and dance yet again and I'm very thankful I have the ability to grow my hair and donate it to those who need it more than I do!

It looks super blunt in these photos right after the cut, but it looks better now that it has sat for a day :)

I still have a few posts that have pictures of my long hair, so I will try and get those out of the way and start trying out some new vintage styles with this 'do!

God Bless,
KJA

And isn’t long hair a woman’s pride and joy? For it has been given to her as a covering.

  1. Wow! That's a big change! I've donated my hair once to locks of love, but since then haven't cut enough off at one time to do it again. I look forward to seeing how you style it! :) (I found your blog yesterday btw, and I LOVE it! :D

  3. Your hair looks beautiful.

I remember the first time I cut my hair from my waist to my shoulders. I felt so awkward and naked but after not to long I was enjoying the ease of care and less weight on my head.

  4. Wow! That is so awesome, Katie. You look really wonderful with any cut and honestly, you still have long hair! So, you win either way. I can't believe how much hair you had.

  6. You look fantastic!! You're so creative with your hair, too; I can't wait to see the ways you find to style it now. :)

I intended to donate my hair when I was a senior in high school and it was just *barely* too short! I glad you were able to donate yours.

    Cheers!

  7. Okay, so, I absolutely love your new hair cut. I mean, your longer hair was amazing before, but as Jessica pointed out, your hair is still long and am excited to see all the vintage hairstyles you'll be able to do with this length. Plus, I don't know, you have such a polished vibe with this look, and it was so nice that you donated that hair.
