How are you beauties doing today? Everything is fine and dandy here as we just put lights up on our Christmas tree and blogging by Christmas tree light is pretty beautiful, I have to say. I think we're going to forgo our traditional ornaments this year in favor of some cheap globe ornaments to see how the kittens react for their first year. They've been doing alright, other than eating off the bottom branches of the tree, haha. We're working on it. I have our water bottle set to jet-stream so I can pretty much get them from across the room if they are being naughty.
I braved the snow for some photos on Sunday. It is pretty frigid out there so I wore my warmest wool coat and my new oxford booties to keep the snow out. I also found these fabulous seamed tights on black Friday at Charlotte Russe! Sean and I are NOT black Friday shoppers, but we had a few things we needed to go out for in the evening and popped by the mall just out of curiosity. I picked up two pairs of these seamed tights at five bucks each! I'm going to have so much fun with them this winter :)
I also finally got around to wearing my favorite vintage hat find. This gorgeous fur hat with satin bows is so very fun to wear. I actually wasn't sure whether the bows were supposed to go in the back or the front, but I decided I liked them in the front best. I put off wearing a lot of vintage accessories for years because I was perplexed on how to wear them, until I just decided that I didn't care anymore. Even if I don't wear them correctly I'm creating my own feel with the piece, and that's the point of personal style, isn't it? Have you ever bought an item you were unsure how to wear?
God Bless,
KJA

Blogging by Christmas tree light sounds divine, I must try that. Your post brings back so many memories for me of kitty cats with our Christmas trees! Also I can't imagine taking blog photos in the snow. I often find if cold enough in a warm country. Your vintage hat is beautiful. What a find. The satin bows are gorgeous. I love how you mixed red with blue. Your coat looks so warm and beautiful. Love the detailing that the tights add to your look.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your tights! Very classy :) I agree with you on sometimes being perplexed on how to wear vintage pieces - I have a vintage hat I keep trying to wear like a beret or beanie, but it doesn't quite look right. Your hair looks gorgeous and inspires me to keep growing mine :)
ReplyDeleteabsolutely adore :) and who cares if you don't know how to wear it! It looks great!!!

You look absolutely gorgeous! Love everything about this outfit :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been having the same issue with our kitties.. Unfortunately only one is afraid of the water pistol (the other just likes to drink from it) so our poor tree is looking a little worse for wear!!
I am in loooooove with your little heeled oxfords, darling!
