Walking Through Doors May be a Challenge

So, I know summer is winding down, but when you find a wide brimmed sun hat for free at Kohl's (they're always throwing money at you) that has been missing in your wardrobe, you buy it and wear it anyway, even if it is September! I also finally got a pair of sneakers for work, since I'm running around with kiddos all afternoon and such. I found these polka dot Keds and have been wearing them nonstop! I've never owned a pair before and they actually have great arch support and are super comfy.
With work giving me a challenge it's always nice to think on the little things in life that give you joy. I think that's why I enjoy blogging because it allows me to focus on happy things and not on the stress that Monday-Friday brings me.
Like today: I went for a 2 1/2 mile run, and then rode my bike to a rummage sale in our neighborhood, it was a great morning!
ALSO: I did some more modeling for my friend's Etsy shop, Retro Remnants! She has some amazing pieces, I absolutely love getting to wear them for a bit. A bevy of beautiful 1940's-70's dresses and a lot of quirky pieces too. Check it out!

Stay smiling and have a fabulous weekend, Dolls. I will be heading to a flea market with some friends and a couple other fun things so I'm looking forward to it!

God Bless,
KJA

  2. Oh my goodness, Katie, that hat! *_*
Its amazing and looks so amazing on you. Love the mixed shades of blue as well - gives me a nautical sort of feel. Plus, nice find with the Keds. Perfect for practical purposes and still looking cute!

  3. Hahaha, it's that Kohl's cash, isn't it? It ALWAYS brings me back, even if it's just for a piece of sale jewelry... the more, the merrier, ahahaha. That hat is so very darling on you, Katie! And how beautiful is the navy blue of your dress? I adore everything about your outfit here!

Have fun at the flea market! Flea markets are the best, especially when they're not actually markets with only fleas in them. Those are no fun. ;)

  9. Look at you vamping it up in a wide brimmed hat. (for some reason it totally reminds me of the Betsy-Tacy series where Betsy's husband Joe is going off to WWI and he buys her a huge brimmed hat for her to wear to his training camp and he jokes she is "vamping" him. Um, long story. Sorry! But you look great!
