"Who are you trying to be, Rosie the Riveter, or Lucille Ball?"

Well I made it to Friday on the first week  of school! I have to say this has been one of the longest weeks. Thank goodness I only work four hours! And silly Sioux Falls, they're talking about cancelling some schools here next week because it is going to be so incredibly hot outside. That's what they get for starting in the MIDDLE OF AUGUST! Jeepers. We'll see how it goes, I hope it cools down because work is a lot more enjoyable when the humidity isn't like 90%. Oi.

This is what I wore to our final work training day last week. I had multiple people tell me that I looked like a bevy of different characters, including Rosie the Riveter and Lucille Ball. One older lady said that she used to dress like Lucille Ball too and she loves wearing costumes to make her students laugh....I just smiled and said I did too :) haha. Little does she know I just love to dress like this on a daily basis! Not many people in my town dress as eccentrically as I do :)

Hey, hey friends! Do you like my bag? It's the perfect size, summer straw tote, and it could be yours! I'm selling it here in my shop (for only 12 bucks!). Go have a look-see if you feel so inclined. :)

Have a fabulous Friday friends! Sean and I have some fun plans for the weekend. There's an estate sale I plan on visiting, and we're going to go to the animal shelter to look at kitties for our home!!! I could not be more excited. I've wanted a kitty for my home since the start and I hope we find a good match for us!

God Bless,
KJA

  8. Absolutely love how you've done your hair up with the headscarf, I love this style so much but can't seem to pull it off because my face is too round :P It looks great on you!

  9. Hahaha, I think its so funny they think you're just dressing up, not that it's your actual style. That's a true compliment right there! Just means your look is one that's unique and stands out. :)
Also, I can definitely see Rosie and Lucille fighting in your outfit for center stage. Haha, nice mix! That mint cardigan is just so lovely <3

  11. Cancelling schools because it's... too... hot?! Hahahaha! That's kind of the funniest thing I have ever heard. How hot exactly is "too hot" for you guys up there? It's humid here all the time. Then again, if there are snow flurries here then school is cancelled since nobody can drive properly through slightly-icy roads... seriously, it's ridiculous. :)

Haha, but oh, onto your darling little outfit. I just adore that bright color of lipstick on you and your pretty mint cardigan is lovely as well. I think you've made a very darling Rosie the Riveter (or Lucille Ball, you channel them both so well!) here. Your hair is gorgeous!

  13. School cancelled due to...heat? That is one I've never heard before! Hope it cools down!

It is great you can just let comments like that roll off your back. Myself, I'm impressed at your abilities with a scarf.

  16. Canceling school due to heat? I would have never gone if they did that in Texas!

Love this look, no matter if you're Rosie the Riveter or Lucille Ball. It's so obvious you have so much fun with your clothes!

  20. i also second what Marlen said on your tutorial, i didn't expect your voice to sound like that, but def not in a bad way! i maybe expected you to be more soft spoken or something, maybe that's bcuz i have a quiet voice naturally. anyway, so funny they might cancel class bcuz of the heat, we'd cancel it every day for a few months were that the case! but of course we have crazy cold AC everywhere which i'm guessing isnt the case over there. anywya, glad your first week back went w/out a hitch!! and I love your casual look here, tot. right the head scarf makes it all look put together even w/ greasy hair : )
