Weekends in the summer are all about rummage sale-ing in the Aman household. Sean and I have gone out several times this summer and it is one of the best ways to spend some time together having a bit of fun without spending a lot of money on going out. I absolutely love walking around unfamiliar neighborhoods exploring other parts of the city. Now that we've gone through the house shopping experience, we notice a lot more about all of the houses around us and it's fun to think of the possibilities of our own home in the future :)
Plus, you always meet the best people while out and about. At one rummage sale we went to, this very elderly gentlemen was trying to talk everyone into buying his really weird tools and home fixtures. He was telling us all the stories behind his items and why we should have them, of course! Luckily someone else showed up to look around and diverted his attention to them so we could slip away unnoticed! haha. At another sale there were the two cutest little girls selling water and capri sun to thirsty passerby's . I remember at my mother's rummage sales my sisters and I would sometimes sell lemonade and rice krispi bars-it was the best! No one can say no to those cute little faces :)
Walking around in the heat calls for a light talk and cutoff jeans. This particular pair are some high waisted wranglers that I stole from my horse loving sister :) They are my favorite pair to wear in the summer and the length is just perfect for my liking. That's the great thing about cutoffs-you get to make them the length you want them to be!
Alright Dah-lings if I can keep myself in a working mood I have a surprise that I'll be sharing with you all this coming week! I can't wait to let you all in on what I've been working on :)
God Bless!

Ha! I just hosted a garage sale this weekend (well, ran my grandmother's garage sale since she cannot handle that anymore, but still). How ironic.

hahaha, meeting strangers at rummage sales sounds fun... but also whenever I go to places like that, I always feel pressured into buying things I wouldn't even use, haha! Just if the person is nice... :) As you probably feel, haha, letting the gentleman ramble on about his things and their backstories.
ReplyDeleteYour shopping outfit is so cute--what dainty little flowers your top has! And how is it that your hair always looks so good, even when it's simply tied back. Aaahhh Miss Katie, always so stunning! <3
Your hair is so pretty :) And I love wearing shorts on weekend outings - yours are a great length.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is so beautiful! I'm sure y'all had a blast together. Buying a house definitely changes the way you look at other houses, huh? But oh, the possibilities for your own!
ReplyDeleteOh, every time I see your hair I'm left speechless, it's so beautiful *_*
ReplyDeleteAnd these cut off jeans are a dream, perfect for summer, great vivid color too!
