I have been so into pastels and the 60's lately. There's just something so summery and fresh about natural hair, light makeup and mini dresses. It seems like my vintage preferences change with the seasons. In the colder months I get really into the 40's and 50's, and in the summer I channel the 60's and 70's. Those decades had clothes that were much less fussy like simple, airy dresses. Not to mention they let their hair flow down naturally instead of having to curl and fuss with it. Oh what am I saying I can't decide, I love all decades in fashion equally!
I really love this coral shade of lipstick I bought a while ago. I bought a bunch of mini sample tubes for a dollar to try out some new colors and this was among them. The shade is just so light and not overpowering, which is great if you want a bit of color but don't want to look like you just ate a cherry popsicle. Not that cherry popsicles aren't awesome. Because we all know that they are.
Alright everyone, I need to give myself a good, swift kick in the behind and start my morning! I was going to do some housework yesterday, but it seems that after one mows the lawn they automatically become a lazy pile and don't feel like doing much after that. Go figure! But hey: I have a lawn now, and that's always something to be excited about :)
God Bless!

You look gorgeous : ) I love this dress. Have you ever seen The Sandlot? It reminds me of the one Wendy Peffercorn wears. Perfect for summer.

ReplyDeleteYour mini dress is such a stunning shade of blue. Super electric and perfect for summer. And I always love seeing your hair down, as I'm sure you know by now, because it's so long and wavy and pretty!
&& yes, hallelujah to paperback books! I like being able to touch and see their covers and underline things in them that I like, hehehee. And sniff them, because obviously! :) Good to know we're still surviving out there amongst all the Kindle-rs.
These photos are too cute! Love the dress and your hairstyle!
ReplyDeleteHave the best weekend ever,

Love your summer dress! And that lipstick is beautiful! I always have such a hard time finding the right shade for my skin tone, I usually just go without. :(
ReplyDeleteThis dress is such a lovely shade of light blue! I adore the print and how you used a matching bold flower as a perfect prop :)

I am in love with daisys and I wish there was more daisy print around, it is adorable. I love the way you accessorised with the headband and the actual daisy!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, congrats on having a lawn :D Sundays aren't for working, they're for lazying around in pajamas :D
ReplyDeleteYou look like a 60's girl, love the cute bow on your hair ^_^
Aw love this Katie! I'm the biggest sucker for 60s dresses - especially in the summer. The little headscarf & coral lipstick really have me all kinds of smitten right now. I'm going to have to find a similar shade for myself - its so pretty on you!

Actually, that is something I've always enjoyed about your blog is how many decades you have clothes from and yet you can personify each decade so well when you wear them.
