A Long Walk

Romans 15:2
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

This blue dress is one of the vintage pieces from my grandmother. I have two dresses made of this material-apparently my aunt wore this one and my grandmother wore the more conservative version with sleeves and a longer hemline. I just love both of them! The fabric is so beautiful and it is wonderful to know that they were homemade by my grandmother :)

Sean and I walked to the mall to try and check out the carnival that has come to town. Unfortunately we walked all the way around the mall only to find that it wasn't open yet :( I was excited because it was one of those po-dunk small town carnivals with the sketchy carni's and more scam games than rides. Who doesn't love that?! We'll have to check again at the end of the week and see if they're ready for our awesomeness yet ;)

Have a lovely Wednesday night all!
God Bless,
KJA

  8. This is so lovely Katie! I love when pieces like this hold a sweet little story behind them. Both your grandmother and aunt seem to have been fashionistas in their day:) The dress is a beauty and you've accessorized it perfectly.

  10. It is SO well made! My grandmother used to make all of my mom's clothes. Unfortunately she did not hold onto ANY of them. :(

My grandmother did not keep any of her dresses from her younger days and slimmer figure :(
