1 dress, many possibilities

Ok, so I wore this outfit in anticipation of it raining today, but alas, it has not...maybe tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, I might see if I can make a go of this dress again for church-see if I can wear one dress all weekend long! There are infinite possibilities with dresses and it's fun to see what you can do to change up a look and make it completely different! As for today, it was chillier than yesterday, so I wore the boots, leg warmers, a jacket, and a shirt underneath the dress :)

Today was wonderful. Sean and I slept in, then I got up and had breakfast all made for me by my wonderful hubby. We then lounged around for a while and then took a walk to the coffee shop to drink an italian soda and read some out of the Bible. We read from Ecclesiastes :) After that we walked back home and took our weekly grocery trip-I love grocery shopping with Sean-it makes it so much more enjoyable :) Tonight we're going to the play at the college-I miss being a part of the plays, but the evenings are the only time during the week that I get to see Sean, so I don't really want to take up that time with play practices...It's called "The Diviners" I hear it's supposed to be sad, which I don't like-but there are friends in the play that I should support-so off we go!
Hope you have a great rest of the weekend!
God Bless,
KJA

Post Office

Oh what a loverly day. My hubby said that this was supposed to be the last nice day of the entire year-so I'm glad I was able to go outside and enjoy it a little bit by taking a walk to the post office (and to pay our electric bill!!) I saw some friends on the street and just enjoyed the glorious temps. And it wasn't even sunny --even better!!! :)

My children's theatre engagement for tomorrow was canceled so I finally have a saturday to be home with the hubby with nothing else going on-it's going to be wonderful. I'm so excited to be able to sleep in, be lazy, and (weather permitting) have a picnic! And it's even supposed to rain-can it get any better? I submit that it cannot! (heh heh)

Hopefully I will get to see some of my family within the next few days. My sister is very soon to be giving birth to my second (niece or nephew?) We don't know what she's having but I am sooo excited! I adore children and babies and the like-and it's even better that I get to babysit and play with them without having to be up all night with them-woohoo! Someday though it will happen for me-but hopefully not for a while :)

I have been watching old Disney Channel original movies in segments on youtube recently-is that weird? My sister got me started I swear! They never play the good ones anymore (not that I have tv) And so that is my only way of revisiting my tweenhood. Ahhh Disney Channel. I would still watch you if I had cable.

Hope you all had a great week and on to a fabulous weekend!
God Bless

Slouchy

I wanted a slouchy, comfy outfit for today because I knew that I would be doing extra classwork and dishes, etc. Generally if I wear a looser dress type shirt on top, I will wear slimmer jeans to balance it out. But I wanted full on slouch today-and I was so comfy all day! The scarf, the soft blouse, the comfy pants-I felt like I was in my pj's all day long! Which is good because I am suuuper tired! If I could shut my brain off at night and tell it to keep giving me crazy dreams maybe that would help...hmmm

At any rate, it's another beautiful day-We have to enjoy it while we can because it is so rare that it's this nice this late into October here! I am cherishing every breeze, every drop of warmth mixed with the smell of crunchy leaves...mmmm I'm thinking the hubs and I should have a picnic todnight or tomorrow night before the weather really gets nasty! Although did anyone ever hear of taking mac and cheese on a picnic? hmmm...:D

Love you all and have a blessed day!

Blockhead

I'm totally loving the weather lately. I wish it would stay warm and breezy like this forever! But I just heard on the radio this morning that we only have a couple more days of this and then it's going to get really chilly! Here's to big chunky scarves and sweaters!! (of which I have an abundance)

I've totally got blogger's block...I wish I could be like my sister, Jeni, who is such a great writer. She's filled up several journals of things in her life, and I'm still working on the Pooh bear journal that I got for my 9th? birthday. I guess I just don't know what to write that I think others would find interesting. Hopefully I'll get better with practice :) Until then...God bless!

ps: I totally bought Peanuts band aids the other day...there's even a comic on the box! Hubby was pretty excited, as he is a big Snoopy fan :)

Ecclesiastes 8:15
So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.

Small Praises

Here are some things I've loved about today:
1. Sleeping in
2. Granola
3. Class getting out early
4.Walking to the store in this glorious fall weather
5. My heels not giving me blisters
6. Sun (but not too much)
7. Finding out that salad stuff was on sale...then buying it...and eating it :) mmmmm
8. Coming home to a house that had been cleaned yesterday by the hubby
9. Croutons and spinach... and bacon salt :O
10. Having some free time sit and think about all the good things in my life given to me by God

And the day is only half over!
Praise God for small things everyday :D
God Bless
