We talked about worry today in church. About how in life we should do everything that we can as humans, but when we've done all that we can do we need to leave it to God and not worry about it, because He will take care of everything according to His will :)
I think this reigns very true in my life as I am definitely a worry wort, and just need to trust that God is going to come through and I don't have to do it all by myself.


Philippians 4:5-8
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

All the pretty horses

Ok, so I know this is a lot of pictures...but just have fun looking at the pretty horses, ok? I got to go to my sister's house today and we went to her church to have a baby shower for my new precious nephew :)
It was a fun day! I was my older nephew's little buddy all day. He wanted to take my hand and show me everything and sing to me and have me read to him-it was the best!! I don't think he had ever seen anyone wear tights before, and so he kept rubbing my legs and picking at them, haha! It was darling. I love those little guys sooooo much. And they are the cutest EVER. And no, I'm not biased-those children could do gerber ads.
Then I went to good old walmart with my mom and we walked around and shopped and talked for hours. Saw a few friends there that we stopped and talked to and whatnot.
I am super excited because I finally bought some colored pairs of tights!!! I've wanted some forever, but never found any around here and never wanted to order them. I've been wearing out my tights lately and with winter around the corner I needed some!!
The hubs stayed home today and cleaned up the kitchen for me :) What a sweetie. So now he's earned some video game time :) That's a fair trade off right?

Ps: This is the most comfortable outfit ever. Most of it is vintage, which is the best part. Another awesome thing is that these shorts are a two piece suit. There's totally a matching sailor jacket that I plan on wearing as soon as I fix the button on it :):)

Those special people :)

What a wonderful, lazy day today :) Spent with my Sean :):)
We bummed for a while this morning and slept in and then had egg english muffins, which are delicious. Then we bummed some more and poked around on the internet for a while.
We spent the afternoon looking around town at all of the podunk places here to shop, like pamida and the dollar stores (of which we have three...) We came home and watched Camp Rock and then my darling made me supper! It was all his idea-French Bread Pizza, which I have never had before-and it was DELICIOUS!! All he did was cut a loaf of french bread in half and put on some sauce, pepperoni and cheese and baked it at about 350 for 12 minutes-easy peasy and so yummy to my tummy! :D He's so sweet :)

haha, there's a funny story about this necklace that I'm wearing too. When I was a young kid (probably like 11ish) I wanted this necklace for Christmas, or at least I had shown it to my mom and told her how much I liked it....The wonderful woman went out and bought it for me-except she bought it in the longer size. One time I randomly just said "you know, if I got that necklace I'd want it to be the shorter one" when I didn't even know she'd went out and bought the longer one! So she went and bought the shorter one to give me on Christmans. After I opened the gift and loved it, she told me about how she had bought the other necklace too!! I felt so bad and wished that I hadn't said anything about the necklace length...haha! She's so wonderful!! :D:D So now she has the longer one and I have the shorter one and I think about that every time I wear it-she loves me so much and I am so thankful to have her in my life-and I get to see her this weekend as well-which I'm very excited about! love you mama! :D

Finally Fall

Well, it looks like we're finally getting some South Dakota weather! It was chilly today and no spot of sun in the sky. That's why I dressed nice and cozy :)
I am sooo excited for tomorrow, let me tell you. It's Veteran's Day so I don't have class and Sean doesn't have to go to work! It's going to be so fun to have him home with me and we'll probably just be lazy and lay on the couch and watch movies all day or something-AWESOME!!! I am also very excited for this weekend and my sister's baby shower. I miss my little nephews so much and they're getting so big already!

I have a clowning project due today in my children's theatre class. It is a partner project and we haven't really practiced that much...but I'm sure it will go over alright. We have all of these different elements that we have to incorporate though, so we have to make sure that we get everything in that we need to. It will be fun to watch all of the other projects perform too :)

I just had the best lunch ever. It was tomatoes, black beans and spicy spaghetti sauce with whole wheat noodles...mmmmm! Except now there's so much sauce left over I may have to freeze it because I can't eat it all! haha
Here's what I did:
Take:
1 can of black beans
1 can of diced tomatoes (I left the juice in, but you can drain it if you prefer)
1 can of Hunt's Zesty Spicy spagetti sauce
A pinch of garlic powder, italian seasonings (basil, oregano), or any other of your favorite seasonings
Now put that all in a pan and heat on medium heat while you cook your whole wheat rotini noodles!
You could also add meat if you'd like, but I didn't have any at the moment :)

Oh what a day, what a day! I am still needing to do dishes and fold laundry and work on homework...bleeeeehh.
I actually would have a lot more homeork due, but all of my professors today decided to push back their deadlines!! I was so happy. Praise God!
I had to interview a teacher after school today for an assignment so I went with a more professional look than usual. Still loving the gorgeous weather!

I've been thiking a lot about God's voice, and how some people seen to hear it so clearly, while others not at all. How is that so? Are those people more religious or closer to God? Only God knows that. I've been thinking about this because there are some major life changes happening right now with career paths and moving and just wondering what in the world to do with my life. Luckily I have a wonderful hubby to help care for me and make those decisions with me. Still I just have times when I wish that God would speak to me, out loud, blunt as can be and tell me what He wants me to do. Any of you that know me well know that I need lots of direction and don't really get subtleties that well..So I just need God to be like, "ok look-this is the path you should take, now get on it and try to stay on it, ok?" haha-that would work so much better than me fretting over things that I have no control over!
Anyone else with me on this one? Or is it just me?
I'm not extremely eloquent, so forgive me. But I just loved the way this verse reassures me that when I call out to Him, He will hear me and answer me. I just have to trust that the decisions I make are of the Lord and not of my own selfishness. Just food for thought :)

Two For One

I had planned on wearing the jeans seen in the pictures to class today..but for reasons I'd rather not discuss I changed into a breezy skirt and flats at the last minute before heading out the door. I had already taken pictures of the jeans outfit though-so you get two outfits today! Aren't you lucky? I know, I know-this is turning into the best day ever right?
haha...but what a lovely day it is outside! Are we sure this is November? Because 66 degrees in November has got to be a record for SD...right? Anyway I'm loving it. I felt sort of summery today in my outfit, but decided that it was so nice outside we might as well deny the fact that it isn't summer anymore and just enjoy the clear blue skies!

Anyone else hate it when you get a bad bag of radishes? You start cutting into them and there ends up being more scraps than edible parts of the radish and then you cry a little bit (ok..not really) But I love those little vegetables!
