Love

Today in church our message was a lot about love. It was a great message and I wish I could write here all of the words that I heard today that touched my heart. Our pastor handed out daisies and at one point in the message talked about a game people play by pulling out petals and saying "he loves me, he loves me not" He talked about how a lot of times in our daily lives we play that game with God, even if we don't mean to. We think that the things we do can earn or push away God's love, when in reality love has nothing to do with the good or bad things we have done in our lives. It's all about who God is, and God IS love. We don't do anything to earn it and we certainly can't do anything to get rid of it-God loves us-every one of us- no matter what because it is the center of who He is. Our pastor had us pluck our daisies down to the last petal to remind us that there is no 'He loves me not' with God because it doesn't exist with Him. He just loves us. This is sounding redundant, but I just want to make sure none of you ever forget that :) Even if you don't believe in God, He still loves you :D

Psalm 13:5
But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

This was me trying to do something creative with the petals by putting them in my hair...Sean thought he'd take some pictures and it turned out rather silly ;)haha

Here is what I wore to church :)

Sean did something wonderful for me today after church. He had me get my shoes and sweater on and told me we were going somewhere. Then we walked out our front door and around the block to our back door where we went in the house. He ran around to the other side of the counter in the kitchen and put on a hat and started talking in an accent and calling himself Sven! hahaha....he then asked if I would like something to drink and made me up a fancy Italian soda. We then sat at our table and read the Bible together while we drank our fancy soda's :):) Then we went out the back door, and walked around the house back home :D:D hahaha!!!!! It was the best thing ever! I love that man...seriously, who thinks of stuff like that? Pretty sure I have the best hubby ever :)

Love you all and have a great Sunday!

What a loverly day for a picnic!

Psalm 63:5
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

I knew that the temperature was supposed to be a little higher today, so Sean and I planned a picnic for today! My wonderful friend Laura gave me a fun little picnic bag for my bridal shower months ago and I finally got the opportunity to use it! It is wonderful-it opens up to have a little space with plates, silverware, fun glasses, napkins, and the most adorable mini cutting board! It is all just darling.
We made some pasta, had some fancy crackers and chocolate-and even some sparkling Italian Soda too!! It was bliss. It did end up getting a little chilly, but other than that it was perfect. There wasn't much wind and we were sitting in the grass surrounded by tons of pretty leaves and such, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I made sure to bundle up though so I wouldn't get too chilly :) Hence the tights and socks and the softest scarf I own.
Praise God for a lovely day :D

Pinkies up! We're the height of etiquette don't you know ;);)

My hubby is soooo handsome!!

These were the adorable crackers that we had. They were just so cute I had to take a picture even though Sean thought I was silly :) teehee. They were just tiny and adorable and delicious too!

Now we're off to the laundry mat to wash some of our big blankets-as I don't think our washer can handle that. We were going to go to Watertown this weekend-but then we heard the flu was going around there so we decided to stay home!! Hope it doesn't spread to here...
Hope you all have a blessed weekend-and stay well!

Nothing to Report

Sorry, all. I believe I have blogger's block again. I really have not a thing to report about my daily life. Nothing except to tell you how amazingly comfortable I was today! I adore this cape. I got it at a rummage sale a while ago and just adore it. It's like sitting in class with a cozy blanket on! The other funny thing that I noticed, was that my cape and jeans are both JC Penny brand-but the jeans are modern (bought within the year or so) and the cape is very much vintage! It's so funny that pieces from the same place but different times can work so well together :D
I hope you all are having a good week :)
Love you,
KJA

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

Inspiration

Ok...So I definitely derived major inspiration today from Sydney of The Daybook. I never know what I'm going to wear from day to day because I change my mind so frequently, so I try to find inspiration in the morning before I get dressed. I've been following Sydney's blog for a while and just loved her look today! I copied everything from the man sweater, scarf, cuffed jeans, belt-even hair! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? Anyways, you should check out her blog because it's hilarious and she's so beautiful!

I felt so warm and cozy all day. What a perfect fall day it is! Sunny with just a hint of breeze-and not too cold! Which is surprising for November in SD!

I haven't been posting the last few days because I've been busy working with my wedding photos that I finally got back! It was pretty exciting and I've been organizing and putting them online so my family can see them all, so I neglected blogging for a bit :)

Hope you're all having a great week!
God Bless
